(Jim Funk) is currently residing in Panama City Beach, Fl and enjoys all genre's of music. Born James E Murphy in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida on September 17, 1984, Jim Funk, so named by Dustin C member of Lab Man Records after his crazy style of funky music merged with today's Dark bass and Pretty styles. Always playing the new top and underground HEAT! He has been professionally producing since the age of 18 (2003) and has DJ'd in clubs like Club La Vela, The Swamp, Rock Star, NightTown, House of Blues, Club LA, Spinnaker Beach Club,District Night Club, Festivals and local bars around the United States. To the date he continues to produce and play all style music. Curently he is on Gigabeat Records, Gigabeat nights record label, Genuine Debbie D Records, Kaleidoscope MUSIC, Therabeat Records  with remixes on Nolabeat records. He is also the founder and CEO of Bass-A-holix Anonymous Ent. To date he is charting one of the highest in beatport in Breakbeats and Trap. DJ Dr. Souss AKA Joseph Anthony Sousa Jr.,
aka SOUSS.  He was influenced by New York's Hip Hop and Breakdance scene in his younger years and, at the age of 15, moved down South to Louisiana.  Souss mastered his skills as a nightclub DJ and became one of the legendary DJs in New Orleans by the time he was 21 years old. Mixing and scratching at the hottest nightclubs and holding residency at House Of Blues, Aqua, 360 WTC, and Kenny Key West.  In 2002, DJ Dr. Souss had the pleasure of performing at a nightclub event, which  hosted the New Orleans Mayor and The New Orleans Hornets basketball team.  His popularity for the past 30 years has allowed him to travel all across the United States headlining and opening up for the Music Industry's top artists like: Tiesto, Egyptian Lover, Stevie B, Crystal Waters & Quest Love just to name a few. Since the 2019 pandemic that caused the world to stop, Souss didn't miss a BEAT, turning his passion and focus towards writing and producing his own music.  His music has been streaming all ver the world on major platforms like: Spotify, Apple Music & iTunes.  In 2020, he released his first track titled “The Serum”, followed by “Horn Play behind the Second Line”.  In 2021, he released “More Happy Days Ahead” and “Hypnotica Utopia”.  Currently working on another track to be released before the end of 2021.  This new path has allowed Souss to compose many styles within different genres bringing his EDM “Soussafied” style to Hip Hop, Breaks, House, and World music.  Souss' accomplishments have opened so many opportunities within the Music Industry, his passion and love of music have fueled him to pursue his dreams of producing and writing for opportunities within TV, Movie, and Commercial industries.

Just someone who has a love for Breaks (almost all breaks but specifically Florida and Louisiana Breaks and Vocal Breaks)...Electro...Trance...Drum&Bass...Dub (the original Dub that was around the Tampa scene from the 90's and early 2000's...not the new Dub that these kids think is the shit)...Trip-Hop...E-Hop...and a few others. Was HEAVILY involved (to put it lightly...no pun intended but pun intended) in the Tampa/Orlando scene from the late 80's thru around 2007 or so...until the scene changed or was forced to change...but this shit is in my blood!!! I guess like they say...Blood in...Blood out!!! Had an iconic and well known house in South Tampa that was called "The House On Stilts"...it was the only house in the subdivision that was up on stilts like a beach house. And if you were in the scene...odds are you've swung thru at some point for one or more of the parties...Lol!!! If so...hit me up and tell me about it...I love hearing the stories because MAN O' FUCKING MAN...THOSE WERE THE DAYS!!! Best times of my life...and I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat...I mean breakbeat!!!
