This is the second single off the upcoming album "Low and Behold, High and Beyond". The track was produced in true Sola Rosa collaboration style with Andrew Spraggon writing the music and working with Olivier via skype, phone and email, and Olivier recording the vocals in London. The track was mixed by Yaron Fuchs, whose expertise behind the boards has seen him work with artists such as Talib Kweili, Public Enemy and Kings of Leon, while mastering was done by Ricardo Gutierrez (Justin Timberlake, Just Blaze). on the flip you can find a remix treatment by TALL BLACK GUY.

It would be super obvious for me to remix Thriller for Halloween so I decided not to do that. Instead I wanted to remix a track for some reason Michael Jackson never performed live. I always thought that was weird because I bet this track would make all the fine ladies melt <span class="emoji-outer emoji-sizer"><span class="emoji-inner" style="background: url(chrome-extension://immhpnclomdloikkpcefncmfgjbkojmh/emoji-data/sheet_apple_64.png);background-position:45.833333333333336% 77.08333333333334%;background-size:4900%" data-codepoints="1f604"></span></span>. PYT aka Pretty Young Thing is what I decided to remix around and I really think you're going to like this one!
 
Call me crazy, but I always felt the original song was too fast, so I slowed it down 115bpm. I used the Sequential Drum Traks for the drums. The bassline is from an Oberheim SEM. Plenty of real instruments like my Yamaha upright piano and live percussion.

I did this mash-up/blend back in 2002 for "Forth & Back", I was kind of pissed they didn't use the original "Funkin' For Jamaica" sample on "Fantastic Vol. 2" album, so I took an old cassette advance dub of album I had for years and blended it with an instrumental I just found which gave me the idea to do this mash-up. It's kind of sloppy but I only did it for personal listening but since I still had this on one of my old flash drives, I decided to share it with you all...enjoy.

I started out as a rapper after a while I was making pause mixtapes & beats to listen/rhyme to then later on I got into spinning, scratching, mixing.
