With time comes wisdom and with wisdom comes experience. Known for his trippy Chicago Jackin’ House sound back in the day, Marcus has transformed from a rolling ball of fire to a shooting star that ignites the skies with possibilities, exploring the endless universe of GRUVY and melodic sounds & shades of Deep House, Deep Tech and Amapiano. His growth & evolution has made him tap into his spiritual realm to create compositions & DJ mixes  that would make his ancestors proud.

Marcus Watkins is an old school Midwest DJ, producer and founder/manager of former record label Random Access Recordings. Marcus was born and raised on the southside of Chicago and started DJing at the early tender age of 13. From small scale events to large outdoor festivals, Marcus has gotten his fair share of notoriety throughout North America and Europe in the late 1990’s and early 2000s. This includes international tours in Canada, England, Scotland, and an appearance in Greece. He has performed & shared the stage with House Music and Techno legends from around the globe. 

Due to family obligations and a disgust of what the underground electronic dance music scene had become at the time, he decided to retire. 

After a long hiatus, Marcus has returned to contribute music to the world and to play his part in preserving the legacy of Black underground soulful dance music. Marcus does monthly DJ Mix podcast (Gruv Therapy Session), which is sponsored by the South African outfit, DK’s Sound Entertainment. He also has been blessed to release music for Jay Hill’s powerhouse record label, People of the Light Records (POTL) as well releasing exclusive material independently.

Captured by the uplifting spirit of House Music as a teenager growing up on Chicago’s Southside, David Sabat's taste in music would forever be molded at live events that featured the pioneers and future legends of this new genre. As a result, David developed his DJ skills, expanded his music collection and landed his first nightclub residency at the age of 19. He paid his way through college DJing at several nightclubs and college events exposing the Chicago House sound to his peers while focusing heavily on breaking new music.

In the early 1990s Sabat coordinated large music video dance shows across the United States which consisted mostly of popular music. He eventually found his way back to the Chicago House Music scene and in 2003 launched ChicagoSoundSource and showcased some of the best DJ talents Chicago has to offer. He built shows, promotion, and bookings for this highly select group of all-star Chicago DJs/producers along with rising talent and fused them with incredible free-style musicians. This unique blend of DJs and musicians were the building blocks of ChicagoSoundSource.

In 2004 Sabat co-founded the Chicago House Music Association (CHMA), a not-for-profit organization focused on unity within the Chicago House Music community. CHMA hosted an annual Chicago DJ Softball tournament featuring several legendary and internationally recognized Chicago House Music DJs, producers, and vocalists. The tournament was supported by industry sponsorship including RANE, Numark, and SURE. It became one of the most anticipated and unique House events in Chicago for three years.

Working with so many talented DJs, producers, vocalists, and musicians gave Sabat new influences and motivation to revive and revamp himself as a performer and in 2006, he eventually made it back to the DJ booth. He has performed all over Chicago as well as most major cities in the United States and many overseas. In December 2007 Sabat performed for the first time with the House Music band MAAD SOUL and was invited to join the group as their resident DJ in June 2008. MAAD SOUL took off and became one of Chicago's most sought after live House acts.

Sabat finally found his way into the studio and has produced several edits and remixes. In May 2009 he founded HIGH on SOUL, an independent digital record label focusing on Deep and Soulful House Music. After nearly two years of R&D the first release came in March of 2011 featuring original work, collaborations, and remixes by other artists. Over the years, Sabat has continued to expand his reach and appear on many festivals including becoming a resident of Mi Casa Holiday for their annual finale in Mexico. Today, he has fine-tuned his DJ style and sound into what he likes to call, Uplifting Afro-Latin-Soul.

John Simmons is a 30 year veteran DJ/producer from Chicago. With a forte of Chicago House music, John’s musical palette expands out to Soul/Funk, Disco/Boogie, 80s/90s, modern jazz, and electronic sounds. John started his DJ journey in 1993, & made a name for himself in the ‘90s rave scene, expanding out in the 2000s to clubs, festivals, and special events. John has shared the stage with many of the top names in the dance/electronic music industry over the past three decades, and has played all over North America, with stops in Europe & elsewhere. John also has some music production credits to his name, working with producers such as Paul Johnson, Geto Mark, & Tevo Howard. A member of the Vocalo Radio DJ Collective, you can catch John's 3rd Fridays monthly mix on 91.1 FM, vocalo.org. John Simmons is a Chicago ambassador who stays true to the soulful roots of the past, while constantly remaining ahead of the curve.

Mike Bledsoe aka IAM1 set himself apart as an entrepreneur in the electronic music industry at the early age of 18 by producing raves in Indianapolis in 1996 under the alias of New Realm Productions. In 2003, he showed himself to be a visionary by relocating to Miami, FL to not only produce trance and breakbeat events, but also to create a new artist management company dubbed UpliftAM. With notable clients such as the inventor of Miami Bass, Amos Larkins III, as well as 2LiveCrew, Nucleus, Devine&EmilyPLAY, Eclipse and many others, for several years, UpliftAM was able to uplift the careers of DJs and producers across the United States.

In 2013, Mike moved to Chicago and at first was co-creator of a trifecta group named Skygarden before breaking off to create his own house and breakbeat inspired brand which led him to stay in the home of house music, Housebroken. Since 2014, the Housebroken Events brand has made a visible dent in the scenes of Chicago and the San Francisco Bay area at beaches, bars, clubs and after-hours spaces. Mike Bledsoe has brought the Housebroken name to residencies at EXIT (Chicago), The Foundation Room at the House of Blues (Chicago), The EndUP (San Francisco), Xippo/Revolver, Lokal, Innjoy, Never Have I Ever, Barbarella/700 Larkin (San Francisco), BRIX (Oakland), and he has served as a manager/agent for the late Paul Johnson as well as for Gene Hunt and many other Housebroken affiliates throughout the past decade. 

As a teenager, Mike Bledsoe studied the cello, guitar and percussion instruments, but it wasn't until he was introduced to event production and raves that he gravitated to the turntables and began learning how to skillfully mix music together. Mike created his own rave production company early on, but did not take his own deejaying as seriously as he did uplifting others. He chose to instead observe the professionals he would hire in order to learn to hone his own craft. As a promoter and artist manager in the trance and breakbeat communities, Mike Bledsoe had the opportunity to play records in 12 states before ever moving to Chicago, but once he had found a place in the home of house music, Gene Hunt and Danny Digable convinced the Natural Selection that he should take his skills seriously and become a professional house artist and dj. Since that day, Mike has added appearances in 14 more states, multiple gigs in South Africa and Mexico, a 25 city tour in 2021 and played alongside some of the greatest names in house music history including Paul Johnson, Mark Farina, Doc Martin, Gettoblaster, Wally Callerio, Franky Boissy, Garth, a B2B with Mr. Gene Hunt himself, and even once performed a blindfolded tag team of sensory deprivation with Chicago underground maestro Mathis Mega M Rousseau!

Mike is currently residing in Chicago and working on launching a new non-profit sober events organization named The Daydream Project. He holds a DJ residency with DTLA First Sundays in Los Angeles, is the artist manager of DJ ROSE RED, and has created music with Danny Digable on Fresh & Paid Records (Denver) and Sub
Subwoofer Laboratories (Berlin).

It should come as no surprise that DJ Michelle Musial began her career in Chicago - the birthplace of house music and the same place that has produced many of the industry's biggest most envied DJs. "You can feel Chicago in my bounce when I play,"she quips as she effortlessly mixes the distinctive beats into her set which she crafts in various arrangements, embracing a wide range of sounds from a soothing and hypnotic track by Cubicolor to a heart-pumping tune by Kink and then to a prog house original with scintillating synths of one of her DJ heroes, Hernan Cattaneo might drop. 

Musial, a beguiling blue-eyed blonde spins a cohesive storyline - a captivating experience whether you’re in a dimly lit club or a posh rooftop with famous scenes of San Francisco on the horizon. She brings her Midwest mindset, dexterity and identity into crafting a rich canvas to her bespoke sets. Her groundbreaking move as a promoter having immersed herself in the underground rave scene in the 90s and eventually mixing vinyl herself bring time-tested skills to her game. Those formative years in Chicago have honed her DJing prowess and gave rise to her musical identity. She plays from the heart and her language is house music - classic, deep, melodic, left field, sexy, spirited, tropical and progressive. You can feel the nuances as she builds her sets.

As for her prep, Musial’s  fashion background and sense of style come into play just as much as her track selection. She carefully chooses ensembles that define her look that can be feminine, fashion-forward, edgy, modern  and at times playfully sexy.  Michelle proudly supports the ban on single-use plastic and is into sustainably produced clothing which makes up most of her wardrobe on and off the decks. As for music, “I am just as selective but not in a narrow way,” the now San-Francisco based DJ affirms. 

Currently a resident DJ at Virgin Hotels San Francisco and commanding a good slice of the Bay Area’s nightlife, she held her own with previous residencies within the city notably at the A-list fave The Clift Redwood Room, The Press Club, W Hotel Upstairs Lounge and Bergerac. She graced the LA and New York scenes with pop-up stints at the Falcon, Uniqlo, Diesel and other boutique venues. Prominent performances include opening for Lady Gaga at Otis SF in 2008 and for Moon Boots in Chicago. Musial has ably supported Doc Martin, Lee Foss, Clarian, Nox Vahn, Simon Doty and Yotto.

These days she’s focusing on getting acquainted with music production. “There’s a lot out there to filter and bring to my sets but producing something of my own is too exciting to not have a go at so let’s see where it takes me.” As for new gadgets, Musial’s most curious about the glove MIDI controller Specktr.
