With over two decades shaping Brazil’s electronic music scene, Julio Torres stands as a key figure in the industry. His career began in the early 90s, at a time when São Paulo’s underground scene was gaining momentum, and his pioneering approach to production and DJing quickly set him apart.

A versatile artist, Julio Torres gained international recognition after signing with Hook Recordings, with his track Feel The Groove earning a spot on Space Ibiza’s annual compilation. His reputation grew further with performances on the island, solidifying his place among electronic music’s elite.

Back home, he played a pivotal role in the expansion of Brazil’s electronic scene, from his long-standing residency at D-Edge to multiple performances at Skol Beats, sharing stages with legends like Basement Jaxx, Danny Howells, and Hernán Cattáneo.

Beyond his solo career, Torres co-founded Crossover, a groundbreaking project blending electronic music with live violin, leading to performances at Rock in Rio, Ultra Music Festival, and a support act for The Black Eyed Peas. The project later evolved into Dexterz, integrating live drums into the mix and reaching mainstream audiences through TV performances and award-winning releases.

With residencies at Green Valley 5 times #1 club in the world by DJ Mag and an ever-evolving sound that seamlessly fuses classics with the latest club anthems, Julio Torres remains a driving force in Brazil’s electronic scene.

In 2022 Julio Torres co founded <Marsellie, a duo alongside Sarria, whicvh released a marvelous album called 11:11 and also the EP Ghost on Dyinamic Records with support of the icon Solomun

Julio Torres é reconhecido pela capacidade de se reinventar e criar projetos marcantes como Manimal, Dexterz, Crossover e o recente Marsellie, com faixas lançadas pelo selo Diynamic de Solomun.

 

 

Ele deixou sua marca em grandes festivais e clubes como Rock in Rio, Tomorrowland, Space Ibiza, Skol Beats, Ultra Music Festival, Amnesia Ibiza, além de residências no D-Edge (SP) e Green Valley (SC), dividindo palco com estrelas como Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier e Fatboy Slim.
 

 

Como produtor, foi destaque na revista britânica Mixmag, sitando o artista como um dos principais produtores de house no Brasil. Suas músicas figuraram em compilações do Club Space de Ibiza, na capa da DJ Mag ao lado de DJ Patife e em trabalhos de artistas como Nic Fanciulli e Steve Lawler.
 

 

Julio colaborou com nomes de peso da música brasileira como Junior Lima, Lenine, Maria Gadú, Vintage Culture e Sandy. Criou o projeto Manimal com Junior Lima e segue expandindo sua influência com Marsellie, consolidando sua posição como um artista inovador na música eletrônica.
