This is my set from the Beats 4 Love Festival which took place at Dolní Vítkovice in Ostrava, Czech Republic, in the summer of 2023.

Since I returned to the fray in 2023, I've been using Ableton and a number of controllers to create my sets and am loving the flexibility it gives me to do deeper dives into edits, overdubs, mashups and mixes. It wasn't uncommon during this set to have four or five audio channels running simultaneously. I hope you enjoy the ride!

Elite Force (aka Simon Shackleton) - Beats For Love Festival 2023

Besides all the new music that came out this week, I went deep into the LLL archives to find older tracks I've played on the stream before but for some reason I never revisited or put more widely into rotation. There's definitely a few gems in there I was able to slip into the mix. EP114 covers some ground starting on a deep and melodic soulful liquid note and expanding on that over the first 45 min to an hour when things get a bit more bassline driven. We move into minimal and dubby tech roller territory at the start of hour 2 into some darker rollers and some big room vocal numbers. For the last 30 we dip back down into some sci-fi and futuristic soul rollers till the end.

Coming up as a raver on the Oslo underground club scene, Mira picked up the decks and moved from the dancefloor to the booth in 2012. In the years since, she has made a name for herself on the dnb scene in record time, fuelled by heavy ambition and a deep love for the genre. She has been gigging in cities from Berlin, Ibiza, Manchester to St. Petersburg, playing at festivals like Fusion (DE), Sonar, Outlook, HotHotHot!, Midnight Sun and Solar. Been supporting acts like Fabio & Grooverider, Dillinja, Calyx & Teebee, Noisia, DJ SS, Marcus Intalex, Jubei, DRS, Calibre and Tony Anthem. Alongside gigging abroad, she is founder of Ladies First - Bass Music Movement, and was resident in ROOM 101 and Viking Junglist Massive in Norway. From 2014 to 2015, she had her own weekly dnb radio show called "On.My.Mark" at DNBHeaven. Her musical style was based in liquid funk, but as she matured her sound got deeper and darker. Don't let the smile fool you, she is a proper junglist through and through!
