Award-winning Australian DJ/Producer, Claire Hardman is back, with a blistering bite of unadulterated techno genius, straight from the thriving Stockholm techno scene, of which she is one of the leading lights.

Devil’s Hand EP, available on 19th April, is the debut release from Claire’s pioneering new label Hardman. It’s only fitting that Devil’s Hand should be the first of the many exciting releases already in the pipeline at Hardman, a misogyny-free take on how techno should be released and a futureproofed model of how things can be.

Straight from the get-go, Devil’s Hand announces itself to your eardrums with a bass beat so banging, that you’d be forgiven for thinking Lucifer herself is pounding her fists on your door, ready to take you somewhere dark…deep down underground. Driving machine synths add to this satanic soundscape and by the time the hi-hat kicks in, you’re already across the River Styx. A truly eerie, exorcist evoking piano line fills the room, transfixing you on your musical journey. The Optimuss Remix gives clear nod to the early sound of The Prodigy; the acclaimed Nizhny Novgorod producer adding a new dimension to Devil’s Hand whilst staying true to the relentless dark drive of the original track.

On the other side, both literally and figuratively, Spitfire kicks off with a joyously bouncing bass, soon joined by a deep synth drone reminiscent of that famous plane’s engines, and a wicked acid twitch funk line. This is a track that keeps giving, getting even better with each new element introduced. The Alan Morales Remix completes this four-track techno masterclass, Mexico’s very own hard techno maestro taking the Spitfire back out of the hanger and changing the flight settings to full-on attack.

Claire Hardman explains: “Devil’s Hand came from a pretty dark place. At the start of 2022, just as the light started to appear at the end of the pandemic tunnel, I broke MY hand, hence the title! On the other hand, Spitfire is about the determination and resilience to keep going even when you're in a bad place. I'm a very spiritual, positive person, so Spitfire is about and having hope; on       e of the key tenants to a productive and happy existence. As an EP, Devil’s Hand shows the light and the dark in life. The yin and the yang. Without the darkness, how can you appreciate the light?”

Of her collaborators on Devil’s Hand EP: “I'm a big fan of both Optimuss and my good friend, Alan Morales. Both have a great sound and are very talented, so I was over the moon when they came on board to do the remixes. I think they are fantastic interpretations of the originals.”

@ataleja Originally from Lublin, Poland where she took her first steps behind the decks in late 2021, she is currently based in Warsaw. In her selection she aims to avoid boredom, and does not stick to just one genre. Most often she turns to strong, energetic techno full of acid sounds and ear-catching melodies. She feels best at 145-160 bpm.

Here we go again, with another episode of @kefu podcast. Straightly imported from Kyiv to Berlin, Helen  had a passion for electronic music all her life, especially for industrial and underground music and grooves. After her first rave, she fell in love with techno. A few years later, Helen realized that she wants to be more than a listener and make something that great by her own. So she decided to record her first DJ sets. 

In Kyiv she played by HAUT and was working in Kyiv’s club Crest with the well known community Veselka. After coming to Berlin, she was able to record by PULZAR and also played on Hallowitt festival and several openairs.

OMEN Recordings delivers its thirty-seventh release, a sonic odyssey that transcends the techno spectrum. This release features an eclectic array of excellent remixers, each sculpting their unique imprints onto the original track to create a kaleidoscopic soundscape that is both haunting and invigorating.

The creative impetus for this EP was ignited during the OMEN Recordings showcase last November in Los Angeles that saw AXKAN, D. CARBONE, DUELLIST, and EAS all sharing the stage. The electrifying atmosphere and synergistic performances served as a fertile ground for the inception of OMEN037, encapsulating the raw energy and artistic diversity witnessed that night.

The original track, RUNTZ, serves as the cornerstone of this release, offering a driving, trippy experience that sets the stage for what's to come. The track is a masterclass in tension and release, weaving intricate patterns of rhythm and melody that captivate the listener from start to finish.

EAS delivers a peak-time techno slammer that is nothing short of explosive. The track is a relentless assault on the senses, featuring pounding kicks, razor-sharp hi-hats, and a bassline that will shake the foundations of any dancefloor.

DUELLIST plunges us into a dark industrial techno horror show, complete with distorted kicks and eerie atmospherics. The track is a nightmarish descent into the depths of the human psyche, evoking a sense of dread that is both unsettling and exhilarating.

ADAREN takes us on an enchanting, progressive journey, layering ethereal synths over a pulsating beat. The track evolves organically, each element synergistically contributing to a sonic tapestry that is as complex as it is beautiful.

OWEM rounds off the release with a remix that offers deep melodic vibes, providing a moment of respite amid the chaos. The track is a sublime blend of melody and rhythm, its nuanced layers revealing new depths with each listen.

HENRY VENGEANCE takes no prisoners with his no-holds-barred approach to remixing. The track is a sonic juggernaut, featuring a barrage of kicks, snares, and synths that come at you with relentless ferocity.

KeFu - Das neue Solo Projekt von Kevin.
Seit 2015 beschäftigt sich Kevin bei dem DJ Duo @BlackKontrast mit treibendem House und düsterem Techno. 2022 beschloss er, nach Berlin zu ziehen, woraus das Projekt KeFu entstanden ist. KeFu - Kevin's new solo project

Since 2015, Kevin has been involved with driving house and dark techno at the DJ duo @BlackKontrast. In 2022, Kevin has decided to move to Berlin, which resulted in the KeFu project. Many sets will be created by myself over the next few weeks. It is also an own podcast series established, with different artists, friends and music styles from DEEP to HARD Techno.
