Established in 2011 and at the forefront of Calgary's diverse nightlife, Sub Chakra is a cooperative of like-minded individuals focused on delivering high quality events for people to experience soundsystem culture. We are driven by inclusion, a sense of community and careful curation of both sonics and stage design - all in a safe and intimate environment. 

We focus on roots music and the low-end, left-field spectrum of electronic music. The distinct production and selections of our resident DJs collectively represent the various shades of Sub Chakra's sound.

Intersect is a part of the current evolution in bass music; crafting original productions which bend and blend genres, incorporating elements of Halftime Bass, UK Dub, Trap, Future Bass, Grime and beyond..

Based in Nelson BC, Rahj Levinson and Scott Milne met while performing in the legendary band Wassabi Collective. Sharing a love of electronic music, they decided to collaborate - crafting a unique sound that has led to releases on California’s Muti Music & Mallabel Music imprints, as well as homegrown labels like Really Good Recordings and East Van Digital.

Joining forces to pool their resources and talents has proven to be a fruitful endeavour, opening the door to perform at festivals like Shambhala and Bass Coast, and to share stages with world class acts like Dimond Saints, Eprom, Sam Binga, and The Librarian.

Building and expanding on their combined histories to create yet another musical legacy as Intersect, the duo is bringing the heat to dance floors everywhere with their singular brand of low-end beats - combining dark textures, uplifting melodies, vocal chops and mind-melting, sub-bass frequencies.

Vocalist, Songwriter, DJ & Producer; the della kit’s debut album “moonbeams & frequencies”  is a neo-soul, jazz-inspired, funk wonderland infused with evocative stories of healing and self-love. Inspired by the likes of Outkast, Jill Scott & Quincey Jones, she has shared stages with the likes of: Quest Love, Mos Def & Lil Kim.

Rafau Etamski is musician and producer from Bydgoszcz, Poland. He started his musical journey 20 years ago producing hip hop instrumentals. Gradually through increasing the tempo of this genre, he became to familiarise himself with Drum & Bass too the point where 175bpm has taken over. Creating a great passion for DnB and all its sub-genres, from the darker sounds of neuro to his preferred sound of choice, liquid. With influences coming from his love of hip hop, jazz and funk, he tries to incorporate these elements and the inclusion of all live instruments, into his productions today.
