The time finally has arrived...
With this I release my DoKomi 2023 J-Rave set, focusing many Anime Bangers from 150 to 175 BPM!
I can't deny that I work on my DoKomi sets the longest since it always has been my biggest event of the year, still evolving each year in terms of guests visitors.
Kicking things off with Donk and moving on to Hardstyle has been a solid choice, especially thanks to the new DoKomi sound system these tracks sure had more punch than expected.
From there I slowly increased the BPM to 160 before dropping into some Drum'n'Bass at 175 and finishing things with Hardcore/Freeform and two tracks I always wanted to play live at that.
Have to admit, the Inner Universe remix didn't fit perfectly for the transition but I wanted to play it so badly I ignored that fact and tried my best to make it work.

Overall, this set has been crazy fun to perform live. The crowd reaction was the best I had yet and the fact that everything just worked this time around made it even more memorable.
As always, big shout out to all ravers/visitors of the DoKomi J-Rave this year, with around 3500 visitors this was our biggest party yet and I'm a bit proud of how things turned after it's humble beginnings in 2011.
To be honest, I wanted to stop organizing this event the past years since it's a lot of stress but it's always great to see the work paying off in the end. Guess I'm in for another year...

A final special thanks to everyone who came on stage from backstage to party along, especially all fellow DJs. Having people like Aiobahn approve and rave to your set sure is something special. :)

DoKomi 2023 Set

Here comes a fresh one from last weekend~
Last Friday I performed at Akiba Club -Halloween Edition- 🎃 in Düsseldorf, a new club event focussing on Anime and Vocaloid remixes.
Since the party was an early Halloween themed one I tried my best to play some spooky Anison remixes starting with Bass House, before moving on to some Happy Hardcore.
Of course the Happy Hardcore part is less Halloween themed but I'm glad people enjoyed it anyway. And yes, "Horse" is a spooky track when you are wearing a fitting mask for it! 👻

Akiba Club -Halloween Edition-

Akiba Club -Halloween Edition- Set

This set was first performed during Bootleg Shrine (ブートレグ神社) on September 15th, a new event series organized by D-YAMA and Nizikawa and (of course) held at Club MOGRA in Akihabara, Japan.
I'm happy I was able to participate in the first event of it's kind, playing some of my favorite Anison Bootlegs live. This marks my second set at Club MOGRA, following my performance at AniSphere Vol.16 back in August 2018.
Again I tried to cover multiple styles as well - like I usually do with my sets these days. Starting with some bassline and hardstyle tracks, before moving on to UK Hardcore/J-Core and ending things on Liquid Drum'n'Bass. Actually, I could have gone with a full liquid set but this might have been boring to some. Thankfully I've managed to pull this set off live without too many mistakes and I was happy to see people at the event and in the chat enjoying it. If you haven't heard this set before, I hope you like it as well!

This recording is not as heard live but rather as I planned the set, that's why track 12 is running for 2-3 minutes longer than in the live performance.

At this point, I have to post a big thank you roll. Thanks to:
- D-YAMA and Nizikawa for inviting me to the event
- Kur@ra for being so kind and helping me out with the CDJs at the beginning of my set
- All other DJs for their amazing sets throughout the night
- Especially droplamp, I couldn't have asked for a better set to end the night with
- Again Nizikawa, for introducing me to many fantastic people including Freezer who I've been a fan of for a long time
- All friends who came to MOGRA to see me perform live
- All locals and overseas friends who watched on Twitch

It truly was a special event with the focus on what I've loved for years: remixes!

Another Pon de Beats, another warmup set~
My first performance of 2024 happened in Cologne on Feburary 17th. I've performed as the first DJ of the night for Pon de Beats -Yukihime Matsuri-.
Since the event was planned as a spiritual successor to BrainShit's Snow Love event from a few years back I've decided my set to use the main style from the set back then: UK Garage.
And to spice things up I've decided to switch gears and play some Drum'n'Bass at the end to properly start the party.
As always, Pon de Beats is all about Anikura and Anison remixes so I pretty much played only remixes again. I hope this set delivered a good starter to get into the groove for the event!

Shout out to the people who requested a Shugo Chara track and "Perfect Free", at least managed to include these two requests into my set.
And special thanks to VJ Kazandu for putting on lots of awesome visuals during my set.
