Amid a thriving underground collective of enthusiasts and purveyors of West Coast electronica, Edward Daniel Mihai, better known among the inner circles as THIRIFTYLIPS, has managed to emerge as one of the subculture’s most productive prospects. Crafting an energetic blend of big room house, electro, techy dance, and the wobble wobble of dubstep, Mihai’s dexterity behind the turntables has proven vital in establishing his prowess among a slue of Johnny Come Latelys. “Setting yourself apart in Southern California is rough. There are so many great DJs here. The ones that end up making a name for themselves are the one who get into it for the right reasons. It’s so cool to be a DJ right now…this isn’t a fad, it’s a passion.”
Going one step further, Mihai has turned his passion into a livelihood. Transforming the historic Southern California Continental Room into a crucial destination for electronic aficionados, it has also become homebase for THIRIFTYLIPS, as he has ushered in an all-star roster of artists to share the intimate stage with. From DJ Irene, Charles Feelgood, Arabian Prince, and even Dubstep goliath Skrillex, THIRFTYLIPS has shared the stage with them all. “I am a huge fan of this music, first and foremost. There is just is much you can do with it now…obviously you want to develop your own style, but watching and learning little tricks from the best can only help.” 
Having already released collaborative efforts with the likes of WreckinEyez (Asher Roth), DubStep pushers WE BANG, and percussionist Frank Zummo (Street Drum Corps./ theStart), Mihai is quick to dismiss the idea of sticking to just one style. “I’m not a big fan of the whole open format thing, but I don't like to compare myself to anyone either. I like being able to change it up with my own style of electro, big room house, tech house, or dubstep. I can play any of that in my set and make it flow. There are so many great DJs to say I’m like anyone else would just limit me.” 
The one certainty when Mihai steps behind the decks, unfiltered energy. In tune with what the people want to hear next, Mihai ensures the movement is progressive and powerful with every selection he makes. “It’s hard to make anything stick in this scene. In the end though, if the music is good, it’s good. No matter the scene.”

A young aspiring musician and music-producer wannabe, who hit his twenties, dropped-off studying economics at college at the very end of his course, to study and pirsuit a music career.

Dynomyt has been Producing/DJing for a little over a decade now. He has DJed many club and parties as well as headlined his own radio show in 2012 called “The Quickening Electro House” on Powermixfm Radio.

He has remixed tracks from artist all over the world, including: Lucky Date (United States), A.G. Trio (Austria), Vila Roel (Canada), Structure (United States), Seed (Brasil), Tits & Clits (Sweden) DJ Kay Mikado (India), WhiteNoize (Germany). Dynomyt has been featured on Beatport, Soundcloud Hot Tracks, and charted on many of the online stores.

He is a label owner at ShiftAxis Records which has released multiple chart topping EPs on Beatport. His latest release "Speed Kills" with ShiftAxis Records climbed all the way to the #27 on the Beatport Top 100 singles charts and his last release with Distorsion Records (Spain), “Get Some Feat. Ennovi (Original Mix)” climbed all the way to the 18 spot on the Beatport Breaks Top 100 Chart and was featured on the Beatport “Must Hear Breaks Chart For Week 42 2013”.

His remix for Diablo Loco Records (Greece) entitled “Dirt Revolver – Filter Face (Dynomyt Remix)” was also featured on Beatport’s “Must Hear Breaks Chart For Week 45 2013” and last posted number 29 on the Breaks Top 100.

His most popular release to-date, “In My Zone EP” featuring two tracks, “In My Zone (Original Mix)” and “Welcome To The Breaks (Original Mix)” made it all the way to the 5 spot on the Beatport Top 100 Breaks Release Chart. “In My Zone (Original Mix)” was featured on the Beatport “Must Hear Breaks Tracks of Week 8″ and climbed up to the 16 spot and “Welcome To The Breaks” made it to the 46 spot on the Beatport Top 100 Breaks Singles Chart.

His productions have  gained the attention and support from some of the worlds most recognizable Electronic Music producers. Some of those names include  Dj Icey, George Acosta, Superstar DJ Keoki, Aquasky,  Ak1200, DJ Dara, DJ Fixx, , DJ Sharaz, Mr. Smith/DJ Brad Smith, Rob Focus, The Autobots, Lucky Date, and Carley Roxann.
