Can you believe it? Fall of 2014 marks the 20TH ANNIVERSARY of YOSHITOSHI, the seminal record label founded by Deep Dish in 1994. To celebrate, we are bringing the classics back, remastered and with new remixes from an amazing group of heavy hitters from all corners of the dance world.

Given that Yoshitoshi’s roots are ingrained in house music, it’s only fitting to start the #YoshiClassics campaign with Eddie Amador’s “House Music”. A true Yoshitoshi classic released in 1998 that went on to become a global phenomena. The hypnotic rhythm and infectious “Not Everyone Understands House Music” has become the preach anthem for generations of dance music lovers.

Foremost international techno outlet Drumcode is delighted to announce the release of its next full-length album, ‘Satellite’, by enduring Italian techno talent Sam Paganini.

Though he has been active since the mid nineties, recent years have been hugely successful for Sam, with searing techno EPs coming on revered labels such as Riche Hawtin’s Plus8, Sven Vath’s Cocoon and of course, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode. In his time he has been responsible for underground hits like ‘Zoe’, ‘Polyester’ and ‘Fire In My Arms’, all of which demonstrate his dynamic understanding of sexy, dark and hypnotic techno grooves and at the same time have earned him plenty of great Beatport chart positions as well as respect from the best in the game.

Incredibly, ‘Satellite’ is Sam’s first full-length album. Informed by his DJ gigs at legendary places like Berghain in Berlin and Cielo in New York, the album starts with a dystopian bit of sonic scene setting, as if a space ship is charging up ready to take off.

From there it’s a case of getting straight down to business. ‘Another Chance’ is a spacey bit of cantering techno and ‘White’ is rooted in devastating kick drums and is riddled with serrated synth lines that build lots of great techno pressure. ‘Down’ is an undulating bit of funky techno complete with choice vocal flourishes and tracks like ‘Lotus’ are prime offerings from the deeper end of the scale.

No two tracks sound the same on Satellite: Sam is always teasing out a new bit of texture, nailing a slightly different vibe or exploring different amounts of light and dark throughout the course of this most excellent album. This is evidenced by diverse cuts like ‘Dusty’, ‘Toxic’ and ‘Rave’.

Despite ‘Satellite’ being Sam’s debut album, it showcases his seductive style in all its glory across 12 fantastic tracks that will leave you begging for more.

Glasgow based Secluded drops another two Techno monsters on Soma backed by a hypnotic remix from up and coming Portuguese producer Lewis Fautzi.

Delusional starts things of with a bang as Secluded’s big and bashy drums roll out to subtly filtered stabs that ring through into a direct outburst of percussion. Things get a little deeper as we progress, big builds and drops are broken up with a fine tuned pad that swarms through the backbone. A typical monster opener from Secluded.

Sympathy is no less of a monster. Secluded tactfully brings the elements out in this track as a punchy drum sequence roars underneath a percussive synth hook, slowly peaking and thundering back in with intent with each drop. 

Lewis Fautzi turns in a suitably hypnotic version of Delusional as he loops out the original’s mains hook and drives a more ethereal, haunting pad line underneath. Fautzi creates real tension with small drum fills and tough percussive work.

Secluded drops yet another tough EP in only the way he can.

A Side kicks off with „Le Terrible“ a dynamic and powerful monster of a techno track which pumps up your adrenaline with its pounding bass drum and hypnotic built ups. Gut Feeling!

B1: „Concept C“ is a strong track in which terence fixmer works his production magic with more experimental elements such as drone sounds and his ragged and slightly distorted signature bass. Nonetheless creating a high energy level tune ready to be unleashed on the dancefloor.

B2: Last with the vinyl version „Dance like Paranoid (Marcel Dettmann Remix)“. Marcel Dettmann‘s remix wins you over by its carefully arranged melody and drum pattern which creates a melancholic and timeless rave anthem. Bliss!

Digitally the release is accompanied by „Le Terrible (Terence Fixmer Tool)“ captivating the essential sound scapes of the original.

K.SANDRA is a DJ & producer born in the heart of Europe - Czech Republic, representing techno and other kinds of tech-music, which is strong in its dynamic and atmospheric feeling. Since her very young age of 14 she has established a reputation for herself as one of the most successful and respected DJs within the Czech Republic, while touring across gigs in Europe alongside some of the best known techno DJs around.
Between 2012-2013 she was a resident of Minimalstation.de radio - the leading minimal Techno mouthpiece based in Düsseldorf, Germany. Her regular peak-slot mixes becoming extremely popular both in terms of live listeners and also through Mixcloud.

Her first release came out on 21.September 2015 on the techno label DSR Digital. The original mix has reached #43 position and Ronny Vergara’s remix #6 at Beatport HT/HC TOP100 Chart. Since then she released several other succesful EPs and still definitely keeps her focus on the production, its quality and her general developement, for now as like as for the near and far future.
