Pass The 40 is a Dallas-based DJ and producer with 14 years behind the decks, blending smooth grooves and infectious rhythms. Known for his laid-back yet laser-focused style, he crafts sets that are both feel-good and deeply immersive—music that makes you move and smile without trying too hard.

From underground gems to major festival stages, Pass The 40 has brought his signature sound to EDC Las Vegas, HARD Summer, Lights All Night, Ubbi Dubbi, and LA's own Lickndip, as well as holding it down at Dallas’ iconic It'll Do. 

As a producer, Pass The 40 crafts tracks with the same intention he brings to the booth—groovy, layered, and built for the dancefloor. With releases spanning tech house, disco house, and deep house, his music reflects both his experience and his dedication to the craft.

I’m a music enthusiast. 

Music is the thing that will one day save us all, which is one of many reasons why I consider it to be important. 

Like most music enthusiasts, I used to hog people’s stereos and make them listen to what I wanted. Because of this, turning my hand to DJing in 1999 was, in retrospect, inevitable.

I started DJing on internet radio in March 2004 and on average, have put a new show online every six days or so since then. I haven’t counted exactly but I think it’s around a thousand by now.

I hate genre definitions (and go into a lot of detail on that here: https://lazarustrance.wordpress.com/2012/08/02/fifty-shades-of-blue-why-genre-does-not-matter/) but it’s fair to say that for the most part I play what’s called “trance.”

I have no interest in fame although I did once make it to 1222 in the DJ Mag chart. This is why I don’t have a logo or any kind of social media strategy.

Nowadays I have three ongoing shows:
     The Rebirth Session - These don’t broadcast anywhere but are (with occasional exceptions) my official demo mixes.
     Back From The Dead - This goes out monthly on Afterhours FM (every first Monday) and is a full-on uplifting/banging show.
     Rise Above - This goes out weekly on Discover Trance Radio (every Friday) and is the end result of me enjoying a mix at home over the previous weekend, whatever that may have turned out to be.

With the purpose of contributing to the world of Trance music and follow their passion, two DJ/Producers from India: Deeptayan Banerjee and Sandeep Sen joined forces, thus forming Binary Ensemble in 2018.

Their debut release was in January 2019 with the track 'Bhaavna' which was released from Beyond The Stars Recordings and since then they have signed their tracks with Record Labels such as Regenerate, Always Alive, Magic Island, AVA Recordings, Blue Dot, HeavensGate etc; and garnered huge supports from DJs like Johan Gielen, Roger Shah, Aly & Fila, Sean Tyas, Daniel Kandi, Woody Van Eyden, Dan Stone, Ferry Tayle, Allen Watts, Madwave, Suncatcher & Exolight, Elucidus, Photographer, Ori Uplift, Soundlift and many more. Their music has also been featured in worldwide magazine like DJ Mag España & DJ Mag Germany.

They are mainly known for emotional and atmospheric trance music, but they also produce euphoric, and driving music.

They have made their debut in vocal trance by remixing a track by Trance classic artists The Conductor & The Cowboy - 'Set Me Free' in July 2020 which features the voice of Classic vocalist Aero Vaquera.

Catch them on their radio show "Hymnscape Radioshow" which airs on afterhours fm every 3rd Sunday of the month, from 15:00 CET onwards.
