Nach 10 Jahren verlassen wir das sinkende Schiff. Nach einem langen Kampf ergeben wir uns nun. 
Wir hatten eine fantastische Zeit mit euch, haben legendäre Tage und Nächte zusammen verbracht. Und genau in diesem Sinne werden wir nicht im Stillen verschwinden.
Mit wummernden Bässen, bunten Lichtern, lustigen Spielen und neuen Floors wollen wir mit euch auf alte und gewohnte Art und Weise einen ordentlichen Abschied feiern, als gäbe es keinen Morgen mehr. Oder ganz viele. Wie auch immer, es wird lang und heftig.

Long time no see at Sisyphos 💜  Und dann gleich der Wintergarten - nach mehreren b2bs zum ersten Mal alleine auflegen in diesem zauberhaften Raum, der für mich vollgepackt ist mit schönen Erinnerungen. Nun gibt es eine mehr.. Danke an die sympathische Meute, die mich begleitet hat und das Sisy-Team fürs so zuhause fühlen lassen 💟

Just in time for Valentine's Day, we have a special mix ready for you to fall in love with, curated by none other than the legendary Ostgut Ton artist and Berghain resident Etapp Kyle himself. He is considered Ukraine's finest export, releasing quality music on labels such as Klockworks and playing in the best venues this planet has to offer. This mix can be described as a love letter to all things breakbeat, garage and electro. Jacking rhythms and tribal energies far from the usual 4x4 dominate the soundscape and invite the listener to dance, hopefully not alone on this day.

@davidcastellani presents ‘Requiem EP’ on his new Noetic imprint, including two explosive & hypnotic originals accompanied by a deep remix via boundary pushing producer @etappkyle.

Following a string of stand-out releases featuring revered remixers the EP is armed with a rework from Ukrainian producer Etapp Kyle, and follows the launch of Castellani’s ‘Metanoia’ set via Mixmag.

Opening proceedings is ‘Requiem’. Using syncopated rhythms carried on a thunderous kick, Castellani creates a deep Utopian atmosphere. The dense reverb has a hypnotic element, while metallic swipes
and an elusive saw wave spiking in the background maintains the celestial feeling. Higher frequencies are exerted during the tracks breakdown, intensifying matters before diving back into the hypnosis.

Next up is the fiery rework from Etapp Kyle. Maintaining the main riff and coy saw wave, he shifts the drumwork into a sputtering, punchy affair. Using distortion and changing the octave of the main sample,
the Ukrainian producer pivots the original into an energetic stomper.

Closing out is 'Absentia', a buoyant and cosmic expedition compiled of jagged chord and gated synth rhythms. Hi-hats open & close throughout along with elastic analogue bleeps that evolve and intertwine around the driving drumwork.

Und wie man das im Dampfer so macht, haben wir natürlich unsere feinsten Downtemposcheiben ausgepackt…Späßle. Gab natürlich voll auf die Zwölfe.

Dank geht raus an die wunberbarste @djlenia, die das ganze möglich gemacht hat, an all die lieben Leute ausm Sisy, an unsere Lieblingsgangmenschens und an die ein oder andere leuchtende Legende, die uns in diesen Hallen inspiriert hat. 

Es war herrlich! 

A dream has come true. On the floor, on which our young legs learned to rave, we were blessed with the opportunity to revel behind the decks. 
As one should on the Dampfer, we unwrapped the finest Downtempo tracks for you.. Prank. As naturally we bet on the twelve. 
Many thanks to the wonderful Leni, who has made all of this possible,to all the beautiful people from Sisy, to our favorite crew peeps, and to the one or other glowing legend that has inspired us in these halls.

Da wir uns ja bekanntlich sehr gerne in zwielichtigen Etablissments rumteiben und diese so vielfältig sind wie unsere musikalische Historie, folgten wir dem Ruf der Spelunke am Grünefelder See, um nach einiger Zeit mal wieder ein Slow Set zu spielen, damit wir auch in diesem Genre nicht einzurosten drohen. Es war uns ein inneres Bierdosenstechen und hier nun die Aufnahme zum Nachhören und Nachtanzen.
