Let's sail into darker waters and focus a bit on those mind boggling night psychedelic sounds as well. We are happy to present you the first exclusive radiOzora show by Russian nightpsy master Fungus Funk on Thursday, 27th June 8pm CET!
Fungus Funk aka Sergey Prilepa, the legendary Russian psytrance artist began writing psychedelic tunes right before the Millenium and started to release the first Fungus Funk tracks in 2001 on record labels like Acidance Records, Discovalley or Crystal Matrix and many others.
His famous debut album called "F People" came out on Acidance in 2006 overflowing with groovy baselines, aggressive synths, warm melodies and those signature psychedelic atmospheres you can still experience on every Fungus Funk release ever since, be it an own composition or a remix made for a fellow musician. The second full-length Fungus Funk album found his home at half Russian, half Australian label Blitz Music, where Sergey released his third and last album to date as well in 2010 called "Electric Grooves".
The original Fungus Funk sound always keeps a masterful balance of complex textures and arrangements that lead the listener through a deep and interesting journey of that hazy period of time between the psychedelic night and morning. These days Fungus Funk is busy working on the material of his forthcoming album and interesting side-projects such as releasing under the name Astroff or remixing fellow psytrance musicians. The long awaited collaboration that resulted in the banging rework of Para Halu's "Sky City" released by Psylife Records is also included in the first exclusive radiOzora show by Fungus Funk.

Here is the complete audio recording of my performance at Boom Festival 2023. 

Sadly we didn’t manage to get any video showcasing the set so this photo of me pratting around with a pineapple will have to suffice, but I really went all out on the live elements including live electric violin being processed through an Eventide H-09, and live jamming on my trusty Virus Indigo 2 synth (now so battered it had to be retired from active gigging service). 

The set features tracks from my third album Liminal Existence, a selection of my singles from the past couple of years, a few unreleased bits including a special Flying Sorcerers track written with Aphid Moon, and a remix of Boomslang from my first album from 2013 Into the Light on Liquid Records by me, Tron and Chameleon.

Sending a huge thanks to the team at Boom Festival for their belief in my music, and for trusting me with such a magic slot following Highlight Tribe and DJ Regan on the main stage on the opening night.

"HYPNOCOUSTICS has weaved together a fresh selection of some of his favourite creations. Featuring tracks from his recent EP releases "Who Own You" with Colin OOOD and "Visitation" on Nano Records, two unreleased secret tracks including a draft version of a solo twisted 150 BPM blaster and a collaboration with Aardvark/ Nigel Shiva Valley, a collaboration track with Angus Mandala from his amazing new recent album, and ending with a classic from the Flying Sorcerers (Hypnocoustics & Aphid Moon). Hypnocoustics was originally formed in 2009, and Joe is one of the UK's top psychedelic producers releasing over 70 tracks across three albums, numerous EPs and singles, and having given acclaimed live performances at some of the biggest and best dance floors on the global psy-trance scene. He brings a unique touch to all his music and an accomplished ear honed through a background of classical music performance and orchestral playing. UK based DJ and producer Lucas O'Brien has been rounding up dancefloors and rocking them in the right direction since he started playing funk, soul and hiphop back in the mid to late ‘80s.   Never shy of mixing up styles and genres, acid house, new-beat and techno started to creep into his sets as he started to get requests to perform at respected London clubs such as The End, Heaven, Club UK and Fabric.  

Lucas loves nothing more than having a dancefloor in his hands and working the right grooves to suit the occasion.  His knack to read a crowd and his vast experience has found him performing an array of different styles of music at many world famous institutions such as the V & A museum, the panoramic top floor of the Tate Museum of Modern Art and to a star-studded dancefloor opposite the diplodocus at the Natural History museum for the Harry Potter 3 premiere after-party. 

His trance-infused psychedelic techno music was found to crossover with the sounds being played in Goa in the early 90s… and it was this that led him to an opportunity to play at some of the early, now legendary, TIP parties hosted by Raja Ram.

Today, with three highly acclaimed chart-topping albums ‘GOD SAVE THE MACHINE’, ‘TALES OF HEADS’ and his most recent album ‘CONFESSIONS OF A SUPERMODULE’ - under his artist alias ‘SUPERMODULE’ - Lucas is recognised as one of the world’s leading psytrance DJs representing RAJA RAM’s label TIP Records globally with his unique, driving, UK psychedelic sound.
Lucas has toured extensively over that last three decades performing in over 50 different countries, and he shows no signs of slowing with his touring stretching as far afield as Europe, US, South America, Africa, Middle East, Asia and Australia.  

The same can be said for his studio productions with several exciting collaboration projects in the pipeline.  He has been working with the artists Eat Static, G.M.S, Hallucinogen, Youth, Iridian, Ingrained Instincts and Illumination to name but a few.. plus he recently released the best selling sequel to his hugely popular compilation series AVANT GARDEN.  
His new project with Celli EARTHLING, called ‘MANDELBROT’, has already been tearing up dancefloors worldwide after several high profile live sets including the main stage at OZORA Festival, BOOMTOWN, MUNDO DE OZ, UNIVERSO PARALLELO and BOOM festival.

Going back to his roots, Lucas has been working on a techno project with the respected techno/house/breaks producer Ben Coda as well as writing downtempo psy-dub music with Ric Featherstone under their moniker SYBARITE.

Known for setting dance floors alight with his diverse quality sounds and masterful mixing, he has become a firm favourite at prominent clubs and festivals worldwide.
