Hardstyle is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in the early 2000s in the Netherlands. Hardstyle combines elements of techno, trance, and hardcore genres, creating a unique and powerful sound.

The typical structure of a hardstyle track consists of a euphoric and melodic intro, followed by a buildup that builds anticipation, and then a climactic and energetic drop. The drops often feature distorted kicks, intense screeches, and aggressive synths. Hardstyle tracks usually have a tempo of around 150 to 160 beats per minute (BPM), which is faster than most other electronic genres.

The lyrics in hardstyle songs are often uplifting and positive, focusing on themes such as unity, perseverance, and the power of music. Vocals are a common element in hardstyle, and they can be either sung or spoken.

Hardstyle has a dedicated fan base and is particularly popular in the Netherlands and other European countries. Festivals such as Defqon.1, Qlimax, and Decibel Outdoor attract thousands of fans who come together to celebrate the music and the culture surrounding it.

Over the years, hardstyle has evolved and branched out into different sub-genres, including rawstyle, which is characterized by its darker and more aggressive sound, and euphoric hardstyle, which emphasizes uplifting melodies and emotional elements.

Some notable hardstyle artists include Headhunterz, Wildstylez, Brennan Heart, Coone, Da Tweekaz, and Noisecontrollers, among many others. These artists have played a significant role in shaping the genre and continue to push its boundaries with their unique styles and productions.

Luke Light has experience in the DJing scene, whether it be mixing in his bedroom, in the studio, in clubs at his hometown of Blackpool, and also music events. He has had the opportunity to perform in his local bar mixing Psychedelic Trance to create a new dance scene in his area, as you would usually expect your typical commercial pop and chart music. He brings his passion to the studio, doing live streams on social media to a large audience, displaying his mixing abilities to a range of demographic.

He has done such events that include ’24 hours 24 DJs Charity Event’, ‘3Stream Radio Station’, 'Harder Timez', 'Ben Nickys Misfit Boat Party' and 'The Hype Factory' and more. He brings his dedication and enthusiasm to every opportunity he can, as his passion and determination to progress as an artist is out of this world.

He also had the opportunity to play alongside the likes of Ben Nicky, David Rust, Billy Gilles, Darren Styles, Distorted Dreams, Stuffed Animal, D-Willz & other talented artists, DJ and producers.

He is an open format DJ starting out with the genre EDM & Future House. He then went on his musical journey to psychedelic trance as his love for spirituality grew and found purpose in this music to help create a world of positivity, inspired by the unique sounds which take you into another dimension on the dance floor.

He was then introduced to the harder sounds of music ranging from Hardstyle to Hardcore. Theirs no limits to what he can perform on the decks. The love for high energy music took control. He now primarily focuses on this type of music as you feel the vibrations from the bass that energizes your body & soul, which makes you dance the night away. Whether it's EDM, Psytrance, or Hard Dance, there is no limit to what Luke can perform to each and every mix covering a vast range of genres.

Almost effortlessly, Luke seems to mix every track he touches with inch perfect precision. He’s patient, observing. Knowing which sounds he needs in order to create something magical. He creates his own musical journey, forming a unique transparency. Allowing a doorway between both worlds. 

He has the ability to keep you assuming. With substantial build ups, each and every drop is powerful and entirely contrasting from what you’d expect. One thing is for sure, Luke brings his passion and determination every time to the gates, blowing them open with subsonic sounds combined with mixing mastery.

I'm just a guy trying to make people happy! I love to play EDM, from big room techno, big room, progressive right through to trance and hardstyle! 

I've supported legends such as Scooter, Darren Styles, Ben Nicky and Blasterjaxx as a Hellfire resident, and also play a monthly Bottomless Brunch at home in Northwich, which is mainly house, charts and classics (and the vibe is absolutely CLASS!), as well as a residency at my local pub which is a massive mix right through from house to clubland! 

I also play unique private functions, including weddings and birthdays, specifically specialising in dance music!

It can also release feel good chemicals in the brain, such as dopamine, which can lead to increased feelings of pleasure and well-being. 
Music can be used to manage pain and reduce physical tension it can alter the perception of pain, making it feel less intense.
Listening to music together can increase levels of oxytocin, a hormone associated with bonding and trust.

The Disciple Maker  has been influenced by the dance music scene since 1995. Happy Hardcore was where it started and grew from there, then he discovered hardstyle & rawstyle.

He started playing back in early 2003, finding influences from euphoric hardstyle, rawstyle & xtraraw.

When this man plays, you can expect to hear some powerful melodies, hard raw drops, & meaningful vocals...

The Disciple Maker has had some huge things happen to him in 2021, including, Signing to Stomp Inc UK, as well as having worked with SethroW & bringing out tracks together
