DjLYLT - Love Ya Long Time...

Love is such a powerful word... and states a powerful meaning. Love can’t be defined as the desire to want to something so bad, this is merely lust and is much more than that. Love overpowers the will to let something go, it controls your every emotions and most of all... It fuels the desire to make dreams come true. 

For Rob Targett, it began in the mid 90’s – an overwhelming urge to take the musical knowledge and experience learnt from an entire school career and express those talents in the form of a dj superstar. After watching the dj perform at a school disco, it sparked an interest he couldn’t seem to ignore. Then after witnessing a turntablist in action it had begun. Many times had Rob performed in front of audiences and crowds before, playing trumpet in a band or keyboard for a vocalist. But this was different... A god like being, appeasing the masses with rhythms and beats, controlling the mood and energy then making people lose their minds. So after purchasing a set of turntables Dj Love Ya Long Time was born.

There is said to be many rumours about how this alter ego ‘DjLYLT’ was named. But it’s based around his Love of music and desire to perform. He knows how to work a crowd, loves a packed dance floor and the passion is so strong, that its bound to be around for a very long time.

DjLYLT started his career in Sydney before moving to Canberra, rocking it out in clubs and venues abroad such as Home Nightclub, Sapphire Lounge, Burdekin, Lot 33 just to name a few. He has held residency for an array of clubs, the latest being Lot33 Canberra and has performed guest mixes for numerous radio stations. With extensive clubbing experience in many big venues and festivals, DjLYLT has headlined and played with some of the world’s biggest artists such as Tiesto, Krafty Kuts, D.Ramirez, Lee Mortimer, Nik Fish, Dirty Disco Youth, Mark Dynamix and so many more.

In recent times, DjLYLT has been busy in the studio, working on his label ‘MOB – Masters Of Beats’ as well as producing and remixing, ensuring all his sets are filled with smooth flowing beats and a constantly updated repertoire of music in his record bag to melt your kicks to the floor. Whilst not limited to any one genre, he can be seen in any club, big or small laying down Breaks, Tech House, Techno, Electro, Dubstep and whatever cross breed genre decides to appeal to the masses. 

Should you see DjLYLT on the line-up, you can be assured two things... Shit is about to get real... and you’re in for one hell of an experience.
