It's been bloomin ages since I uploaded a new mix, well some of its new. Theres bits and bobs I never got round to recording so here they are. I'll be uploading as audio to Soundcloud and Mixcloud too. I'll amend this post and add links when I've uploaded. I recorded this mix or Remedy's Digital festival so themed it about virtual realities and living in a simulation, end of the world apocalypse themed too for good measure too. To coincide with the release of Spectre I thought I'd slap this up on Soundcloud. I can't stress enough how well these two tunes fit together. Its an acapella of Adele's Skyfall mixed with Chrome Optimism Feat. Bakir which is a Dub tune. Not my usual style but they fit so god dam well they really should be one tune.

This mix was performed on 1 Numark TT1610 belt drive turntable with original needles, 1 Stanton SA3 mixer complete with a lighter strapped to it with string to keep the broken right side fader depressed so that it works (you need to see it), an Oxygen25 midi keyboard, a Medion lap top and Serato SL1. It took about 50 takes, mainly due to technical hitches. Apologies for the poor scratching I was up against it. Dj-ing is not a poor man's game, boo hoo. Also its in mono, feking dodgy cables. Enjoy!

If you don't know what the amen break is then its about time you did. A six-second drum sample from the b-side of a chart-topping single from 1969 by the Winstons. Everyone is familiar with the amen break even if they don't know it. This mix explains the impact its had on underground music throughout the nineties and how its become so mainstream it now appears in adverts, tv theme tunes and pop songs. The mix features various tunes that use the amen and audio from Nate Harrison's 18 minute youtube video which explains the amen phenomenon in depth which is definitely worth look.

I've had a few people asking for this old mix from 2008 so I thought I'd upload it to Soundcloud. Please excuse the quality and also the sloppy mixing, this is back when I used to use one beltdrive deck and the most basic version of Serato, I also used to give them ridiculous names.
