Loose Records continues its revitalized journey with the Bosnian artist Jawoo, who’s making his debut on the imprint bringing with him “Let’s Jack” EP.

Jawoo, the alias of Marinko Vujević, is no stranger to the underground circuit. From his early days DJing in Mostar to founding the forward-thinking Stanch Records, his evolution as a producer has seen him land on labels like Black Hole and Pacha Recordings. Supported by global heavyweights like Paul Oakenfold, Markus Schulz, and Cristian Varela, Jawoo continues to build a legacy rooted in deep, melodious techno fused with relentless groove.

 This is a potent addition to the Loose Records catalog—a label relaunched with a mission to uncover and champion hypnotic, stripped-back techno from artists across the globe. “Let’s Jack” brings Jawoo’s sharp rhythmic instincts into the label’s growing narrative of minimal yet impactful club tools.

“Lost Souls” opens the release with crisp percussive layers and a hypnotic bassline that pushes forward with tension and groove which add depth to its minimal framework. The title Track “Let’s Jack” delivers exactly what its name promises—pure jackin’ energy. A punchy low-end drives the track, while scattered vocal snippets and analog FX inject movement and playfulness. Minimal in arrangement but rich in momentum.

Using an Korg electribe sampler, a Korg Volca Sample and a Volca Keys. The electribe sampler is used to sequence the Volca Bass via MIDI. The Volca Sample is used for the drums and is synced via click to the electribe sampler. The electribe sample itself provides some chords sounds. All gears are connected to a Behringer DDM 4000 Mixer which ads some delay effects. And last but not least the Volca Beats runs thru a Nux Time Core Delay effect unit.

Also used a MIDI controller for part volumes of the the Korg Volca Sample and of the Korg electribe sampler.

In the early days of his career Slovenia's Valentino Kanzyani built a name for himself as a three-deck wizard of techno. Here on his Cadenza Cycle podcast he demonstrates that he still has a passion and a flair for mixing with the black gold.

Through the crackle, pop and hiss of his records, we see what he sees, and feel what he feels. Manually weaving together fresh underground house and future leaning techno from Europe and beyond, there's a raw and loopy vibe to his set. The rhythms are sometimes complex with multiple dimensions, at other times, the beats are simple Chicago affairs, with classic house structure and pure analogue goodness.

The subtle changes in mood and tone throughout his Cycle mix remind us of one of those long afterparty sessions where the music just keeps flowing all through the next day, and it pushes you forwards without ever using any obvious breakdowns and energy-sapping pyrotechnics.

You can hear a little bit of Detroit in Kanzyani, and a fair amount of Romanian influence too - Kanzyani says that he is currently making and playing music with a lot of Romania's new breed, and indeed his Next Wave parties in Ibiza are aimed at highlighting that same Eastern Europe talent.

Valentino Kanzyani's Source mix features a blissful selection of electronica, downtempo treats, and broken beats with tracks from Brian Eno, Ricardo Villalobos and Max Loderbauer, Moritz Von Oswald Trio, Massive Attack and Autechre. It gives us some insight into who he is as an artist today.

On 30 April Kanzyani will see the release of his debut EP for Cadenza, titled Love and Gratitude EP1. The EP is the first in a series of releases for Cadenza, which will culminate in the release of his album later this year.

She tirelessly works and collaborates regularly with local DJs and crews, as well as exposing the local audience to regional and international underground artists. Founding her own two long-running nights at the former Bassment Bar, and in 2014 starting the always-strong Hypnotic parties, named for a podcast/mixset series she has been doing for 8 years, Ocean has hosted many international artists including Tobias., Heiko Laux, Azimute, Basic Soul Unit, Manuel Fischer, Ryan Elliott, Oskar Offermann, Deetron, Hiver, and Lock Eyes, to name but a few.

Not just a DJ, promoter, organizer, and Music Director, Ocean is also a producer of her own music, with five releases on HK label Typhoon 8 Records and one on Boulevard Records London.
