First of all I like to wish you Merry Christmas. Think about positive things in life and have a great time together with your Family. That´s most important. I am really happy to give away my this years "Christmas Mix" (Number 05). This time I decided to record my DJ Mix in a Club in Germany (Augsburg) called "Kesselhaus" which I really love.  And this year I recorded a 2 hours Set and mixed it up with unreleased and also already released music of mine. I hope you have fun with that one and slide smooth into 2017.

DJ Mix Number 05

For its 6th release, Bjarki and Johnny Chrome Silver’s bbbbbb Records welcome new signing EOD (aka Stian Gjevik) to their unholy alliance with his 'Swurlk EP'. The Norwegian born, strictly analog producer takes the label off-roading with four outstanding productions channelling ambient, electro and hard bloody techno.

Having released on imprints including Rephlex and WeMe Records, it was actually on Soundcloud that Bjarki discovered EOD’s music. After getting in touch, the scale of his work emerging as gigabytes of unheard music dating back to 2002 were exchanged, all of which was made without the use of a PC - an approach which speaks for itself through his instinctive, playful melodies.

'Swurlk EP' boasts an impeccable sense of arrangement, more like that of a composer, and even more impressive considering the absence of any computer. The title track opens with a velvety smooth synth melody building with bass textures. ‘Evenhark’ uses a broken beat framework to carry floating harmonies. ‘Swarm’ uses layer upon layer of stuttered percussion to build into a relentless techno cut. ‘ELCASET_TESTGROOVE’ pairs catchy, interacting melodies with pensive harmonies.

‘Swurlk EP’ is a must listen for fans of melodic electro and an exciting move from a label that continues to challenge all our fucking expectations.

Agents of Time head over to Barcelona for a very special edition of OBSCURA during OFF week, on Saturday 17th June at The Warehouse, with an exclusive “all live long” act and special guests – The Hacker, Francois X and Biemsix. To celebrate the event, Agents Of Time are premiering 'Polarized', taken from their 'Xylo' EP, to be released June 9th via Curle Recordings.

The UK producer is finally ready to make good on his promise, announcing the impending arrival of 'My Heart', a massive 16-track album that  will dive between smashing club hits tracks and thoughtful, emotional explorations. Out on October 20.
"The conception of the album started 10 years ago and there’s probably been around 300 records written in that time," Nic says. "I’ve spent so much time and effort making this album that it’s essentially become a part of me, it has become my heart and soul​."

French DJ and producer Traumer continues his Gettraum imprint with three new tracks on the fourth release, including the booming rhythm assault ‘Parallax’.

Following releases on BERG Audio​, Traumer turns his attention to his own label which has been home to solely his own material since it launched last year. With Gettraum he holds nothing back, delivering raw, stripped back material with a focus on hypnotic dancefloor grooves, and this latest release is exactly that.

‘Parallax’ possesses steady four-four percussion enhanced by rolling snare riffs, a deep bass and plenty of tripped out clicks and ethereal atmospherics. It’s classic Traumer, showcasing his unwavering ability to ignite energy with subtle intricacies.

Also found on ‘Gettraum 004’ are two more originals, the fifteen-minute excursion of ‘Espala’ and the finely tuned cut ‘Smoravi’. Look for the release to drop on June 16.

UK based DJ and producer Fort Romeau presents a deeply ethereal and atmospheric excursion with ‘Reasons’, his first self-released EP that showcases the scope of his hypnotic sound profile.
 
Following releases on Ghostly International, Cin Cin, Running Back and Live At Robert Johnson, For Romeau delivers his first original EP since last year’s ‘Secrets & Lies’. He’s touched on a variety of motifs throughout his career, from acid to more delicate styles, now he offers the full package with his latest release.
 
Paired with steady, driving rhythm and enveloping atmospherics Fort Romeau plays with seductive vocals to create an eerie, yet inviting soundscape on ‘Reasons’. The title track off the new EP builds into a crescendo of synth with a subtle release to cap off the dreamy production. 
 
Two more originals are found on the ‘Reasons’ EP, which is set for release June 16.

We’re pleased to premiere this rolling techno cut by Octal off of the inaugural V/A release on Exos’ brand new label - X/OZ. Octal is Exos’ father and having him feature in the first release really makes it feel like a special family affair.

Spaff has been remixed by Octal Industries, aka Ruxpin, another lifelong family friend who’s delivered a slab of dancefloor heat inspired by the unique, rugged environment of Iceland.

The release is set for vinyl on June 16th with a digital release to follow this Autumn.
