Set out on an exhilarating journey through the realm of house music with Matt, a bona fide pioneer of the genre. His adventure began in 1990 when he acquired his first set of turntables, sparking a lifelong passion. Matt's weekends were devoted to legendary clubs like Zone, Sequins, Bowlers, Hacienda, and Nation, where he immersed himself in the beats, constantly refining his skills.

Throughout the '90s, Matt was a familiar face at record stores like Melody House, Eastern Bloc, and Vinyl Exchange, amassing a treasure trove of music that would eventually become the soundtrack of his life. However, life took an alternate route, and from 2000 onwards, Matt focused on starting a family.

In 2009, destiny presented Matt with a new opportunity as he was invited to join a fledgling internet radio station, alongside an old friend and fellow DJ. This marked his chance for a triumphant return to the scene, but he quickly realized that the landscape had transformed. The days of Technics turntables as the industry standard were long gone, replaced by CDJs and laptop-based software like Serato and Traktor.

Nonetheless, Matt was not one to back down from a challenge. He diligently honed his skills on these new platforms and technologies, adapting and evolving his sound to keep pace with the times. In 2011, he played a pivotal role in co-founding Beatlab, a purpose-built studio in Blackpool. This sanctuary provided Matt and his comrades with a space to amplify the volume and unleash their sonic passions after a week of toil.

Regrettably, all good things must come to an end, and in 2014, Matt decided to hang up his headphones for the final time. However, his legacy remains indomitable, and his mixes will forever be preserved on this page for all to revel in. So, recline in your seat, let go, and allow Matt to transport you on a mesmerizing journey through the intricate soundscape of house music.
