Mallorca Lee's XL Podcast Ep.36 Christmas Crackers

Since the early 90's, Q-Tex and Ultrasonic were bitter rivals in the Hardcore Rave scene in Scotland. Their front men Scott Brown & Mallorca Lee had a mutual dislike for each other, despite never actually meeting!

After 20 years of antagonism, both Scotland's top DJ's have buried the hatchet and come up with this absolute monster of a tune. With flavours of the 90's scattered throughout the track, this will be the first of many in this new era of Hardcore Dance Music.

Mallorca Lee XL Podcast ep.43 part 2   Ibiza Boat Party Mix

Welcome to part Part 1 of episode 43's XL Podcast. I set myself a challenge with these four episodes. 
The concept was to capture and mix the soundtrack of 24 hours in #Ibiza as you join me and a bunch of friends on a night out ... 

Part 1 of he mix starts off in the afternoon at Cafe Mambo as we dance to house music on the warm beach, pulling on a cool beer, the waves lapping against your ankles, were all looking forward to our night ahead. 

After dinner we board the Colours boat Party (Part 2) at 6pm for my next set playing big party tracks on the boats decking, sailing into a perfect sunset. When darkness falls the captain steers the ship back into an ultraviolet San Antonio harbour. I'm closing Judgment Friday with a set full big room Tech-Trance. (Part3)

Our ears buzzing we leave the club, T-shirts damp with sweat and bundle happily out into the cool breeze. Like drunken magnets were pulled back down to the beach laughing. We find our spot and enjoy another glorious sunrise hugging or thinking of the one we love (Part 4). Holding hands, we start to dance letting the sun warm our skin as we slowly put our sunglasses back on framing the smiles on our faces.

Mallorca Lee & Ross Ferguson hook up once again with HONEY, taken from his eagerly anticipated COMPUTER GAMES album which will be released early 2013. After previewing HONEY at Judgement Sunday's Ibiza and road testing each weekend since including the massive Party In The Park Festival in Scotland, Mallorca knew HONEY was finally ready for release. Less is definitely more on the original mix with tough Tribal beats and stabs allowing Ross Ferguson's unique vocals to soar as this bitter sweet apology unfolds. 

On the remixes MLXL welcomes Allen & Envy Upping the auntie and delivering a seriously big room Trancer is Paul Allen & Scott King AKA Allen & Envy. Their first batch of singles have been signed to 'Fraction', 'Recoverworld', 'Future Focus' , 'DE:VA', 'Vibrate Sounds' and 'Aria Knights' already and now MLXL. The boys remix of Honey is built around a driving bass line with uplifting chords and haunting piano melodies working around the vocals to give the dance floor goosebumps. There is also a Dub mix included for those who prefer a mental instrumental.
