Made by processing and editing various recordings of metal plates, hardware working tools, and other iron objects, each cut takes us deep into sophisticated percussive mechanisms. Alloy-infused rhythms and textures unfold in deliciously subtle industrial breakbeat steppers. "ISSUES REMIXES" EP offers a different take on DJ MELL G's critically acclaimed solo LP. The remix edition breathes new sounds and textures into "ISSUES", led by some of the most innovative and exciting talents in today's electronic music scene. By writing and producing music about her own experiences with BPD and featuring Manuka Honey, Sally C, Cyan85, Ben Pest and Peachlyfe along the way, DJ MELL G continues to raise awareness about the condition, challenge stigmatised views, and empower others to create meaningful dialogue around mental health. 

Multi-disciplined DJ, producer and tarot reader Manuka Honey opens the EP with her remix of the track "ISSUES." Deviating from the foreboding, glitched-out atmosphere of the original, the US-born, London-based artist pairs jagged percussion with an off-kilter melody, evoking an erratic feel. It's a perfectly intense intro with a Manuka-esque twist.

A passive stimulus-response mechanism, Mechanoreceptor traverses amongst multiple dimensions, synthesising the vast array of phenomena. While input is multi-sensory, the auditory instantiations constitute the output encoded by Mechanoreceptor. Spectral Decomposition recounts various entities/observations from the Aviary upon delicate analysis of the spectral properties that compose such observations - here, oceans, gemstones, and the great Electrophorus Electricus (otherwise known as the Electric Eel).

Mechanoreceptor - Electrophorus Electricus

● Newbie is a 4-track EP of electronic music, bridging the gap between club music and experimental music, inspired by artists such as Gesaffelstein, Aphex Twin, Bored Lord or Mor Elian. The EP will be released on December 21, 2023 on Arbo Records (digital release). The challenge was not to refer to a specific style, but rather to offer the club experience. There we find dark atmospheres, cold digital sequences and aggressive white noise against a club drum machine background.

The track Club Forest is a liminal space, the artist seeking to recreate the floating mood of the club experience & the indecision between two states, which he transposes through this trancy track with a driving rhythm and acid notes, minimal percussion and a good dose of randomness.

The Icelandic trio Ex.Girls follows up last year’s album VERK with the first of two thrilling remix EPs, SKEMMDAVERK. This initial release showcases an eclectic mix of Icelandic talents who are redefining the Icelandic soundscape with their unique interpretations. Atli Finns, from Sideproject, offers a lush jungle mix brimming with everything you desire from a jungle mix. In3dee takes it into the avanti-gardi with a three-dimensional hardcore softcore techno choke mix. Kraftgalli transports you to the countryside in Iceland, making you feel like you are by the rivers in Húsavík on a lot of Adderall, calm, but intense. Finally, we have Lafontain and his epic ecstasy jouney on "Halda Áfram," making it one of the most astonishing remixes in Iceland history. A crowd favorite from premiere at the Icelandic Buxur 2022. This EP is just great. Get it. Highly recommend.
