Last night, Hardwell played yet another inimitable set that took a frenzied Tomorrowland audience on a ride of a lifetime, and it is now available for viewing exclusively on his YouTube channel. Opening his performance with his new record, "Jumper" with W&W, due out on August 5th, he immediately let it be known that something special was upon the valley that was adorned with fan-made Hardwell flags from front to back. With highlights including a load of other unreleased Revealed Recordings tracks including Kill The Buzz' 'Shake' due for release this monday, a stunning mashup of Avicii's "Wake Me Up" that had everyone singing in harmony, a crowd-wide sit down, and heavy rain in the last 10 minutes, his set was the most explosive of the night with Millions of live listeners around the world experiencing yet another landmark Hardwell set. In Hour 2, Ollie Teeba from The Herbaliser and Soundsci gives us his own take on 'War of the Worlds' for the Solid Steel 25th Anniversary. here in his own words;

'When I was 8 or 9 years old I heard Jeff Wayne's musical version of H.G.Well's 'War Of the Worlds' for the first time. It scared the pants off me. For years afterwards I listened to the record over and over. It is certainly one of the things from my childhood that cemented my interest in film scores. Though not a film score per se. Its marriage of rock music with orchestral arrangements to tell a story, had me transfixed. The combination of funky rock with sinister string parts would heavily influence and partially shape the sounds that, years later Jake Wherry and I would be making in The Herbaliser. 

A few years back I was given, as a Christmas gift, the 'Collectors Edition box set of Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds'. As well as tons of interesting facts about the creation of the original recordings it had several CD's of alternate takes, remixes etc. On one CD, I excitedly discovered that they had included all of Richard Burton's dialogue parts, without music. Having already created and performed an alternate live DJ score to silent film 'The Lost World' from 1927, this seemed like a great opportunity to do a similar project with one of my favourite childhood stories.

Using records from my own collection of movie soundtracks and other suitable material, I created the original version. This was given to some close friends as a christmas present in 2010. The version you are now hearing is a somewhat revised and extended version, created specifically for the 25 years of Solid Steel. Also, it is the 75th anniversary of Orson Welles' infamous radio play, that when broadcast on Halloween 1938, had many Americans convinced that they were listening to a genuine attack from outer space. This is by no means intended as an improvement to Mr Wayne's recording but a tribute to H.G Wells, Jeff Wayne, Richard Burton, Orson Welles and of course Solid Steel.

Finally, for those who love a fact, which we of course do, 'Wakanda' is a fictitious country in Africa in the Marvel comic 'Black Panther'...

HARDWELL RELEASES REMIX OF KREWELLA'S #1 DANCE HIT "ALIVE"

Dutch dancefloor destroyer Hardwell has been on a tour de force of late. In a week that saw Hardwell reach 500,000 followers on Twitter. After breaking viewer figures for the most watched liveset at Ultra Music Festival Miami and trending around the world on Twitter, the Breda born superstar then went and took Coachella by storm with another highest ranked liveset of weekend #1 of the iconic California based festival. During his explosive Coachella performance Hardwell debuted his infectious remix of Krewella's breakout single, 'Alive'.

"I love to do remixes of original tracks I really love. And I was already playing Alive." said Hardwell in an interview with Krewella, which debuts on vevo today. "I love the vocals. I love the chords. I think the song is perfect. I fell in love with the song when I heard it for the first time." 

Back in March, Hardwell passed the torch for Best Breakthrough Artist at the International Dance Awards to electropunk trio, Krewella. This year, he takes the IDMA for Best Remixer (and Best European DJ) and affirms his title with this booming, big-room house remix of 'Alive', which debuted this past Friday on Pete Tong's infamous BBC1 Radio Show and was released for sale exclusively on Beatport today.

The stage is now most definitely set for what will be the biggest Hardwell summer ever!
