A desert oasis full of the willing came along for the ride as we rocketed to the moon on a one way trip I had WAY too much fun conducting.

I don’t always play from 1a - 3a in the desert under the full moon but when I do, I guess I like to play hard, sometimes dark, sometimes melodic, sometimes groovy, with a dash of acid and apparently sometimes it’s at 140bpm. It was a wild ride but to all those that made it til the end, you’ll remember what it feels like to ride a speeding train off a cliff. The dismount was a little rough but I left it in there because... well... that happened. Enjoy!

Kicking off the day on the Heart of Serenity stage with a Lunar Hatha Flow Yoga class taught by Reva and DJ'd by michael be was apparently juuuuust the right mix for a great morning class at 8am. We had a floor full of yogis and a fun flow for the body to warm up to. This mix is our live 60 minute class along with a post production addition of an extra long ambient intro and the full healing bowl meditation concert by Karma Moffet. Enjoy the full 2 hours!

Lunar Hatha Flow Yoga - Extended Live Mix - Serenity 2019

This is the music I dj'd for a 60 minute yoga class taught by Reva Myers in a class we call, "Lunar Hatha Flow". The music follows the parabolic arc of energy one might expect at a yoga class. Starts slowly and builds momentum, eventually peaking and gliding down to a smooth landing for Savasana.

The Lunar Hatha Flow project has given me an amazing opportunity to explore music & sound with respect to breath and movement for yogis and the open air yoga "studios" we've found for classes. We've had a few opportunities to teach our class this month and each one is so super cool.

Lunar Hatha Flow July 2019 - with dj michael be

Just had a friend hit me up for a hidden gem of a mix of mine for their moment. They had just taken steps to assure a heart-felt experience and wanted something fun to listen to. This Full Moon closing set popped into my mind immediately. I shot them copies of the splintered set I've had for years and I thought... maybe I can finally handle releasing the full mix. 

Back in September 2018 I had an aging laptop that literally didn’t have the processing power to combine the four high-res 2gig files that the recorder split the 4 hour set into. That’s the ONLY reason I had for not releasing this mix untouched and in it’s entirety. I loved playing it and it still brings me back to that brilliant sunny day that Chad had just rocked at Two Playas when no one seemed ready to go home. Least of all me! 

You’ll hear Danny jamming on guitar for a while with me starting around the 2hr 45min mark as we decided to collaborate on the day of and it sounded amazing! He offered to do the combining and mastering of this mix for me just to get it out there but apparently I was waiting for this Sunday to rebroadcast. Buddy, this one’s for you! That was fun times!
