     Mixe qui accompagne officiellement la sortie du tome 2 de l'excellente BD Hip Hop Family Tree (1981-1983) d'Ed Piskor, traduite en français par les Éditions Papa Guédé.

Où l'on voit des pionniers toujours au top, malgré certains conflits internes (Grand Master Flash & The Furious Five, Sugarhill Gang, Afrika Bambaataa, Kurtis Blow...), les reprises cramées de chez Sugarhill Reccords, la réalisation du classique film Wild Style qui réunit tous les acteurs majeurs des disciplines du Hip Hop à ce moment, l'innovation musicale par l'introduction de la boite à rythme (en particulier la TR-808) sur la fin de la période. 
Les frontières entre les univers se brouillent, au delà des galeries d'art, et le monde du Hip Hop rencontre les punks et toute sorte d'avants-gardistes. Monsieur Herbie Hancock incorpore des scratchs dans sa musique avec GrandMixer DST et le montrera au monde dans une performance extraordinaire aux MTV Video Music Awards de 1984 , les Beasties Boys commencent à exploser, et l'on voit un certain Rick Rubin qui formera Def Jam avec Russel Simmons. C'est d'ailleurs enfin le moment pour Run-DMC de montrer ce qu'ils savent faire. 
On voit aussi l'émergence de futurs acteurs majeurs du tournant des 90s et après (un pimp gangster qui rime pour le fun et qui se nommera Ice-T, un certain Chuck D avant Public Enemy, sur la côte West un jeune qui à la dalle avec le World Class Wreckin Crew et qui révolutionnera le Hip Hop sous le nom de Dr. Dre, et sur la East un autre producteur nommé Marley Marl). Et bien d'autres choses qui font partie de l'Histoire.

Wow, I really had no idea that I would fall back in love with Vinyl as much as I have lately. The warm sounds of the music along with a few authentic skips and or pops here in there definitely add to the adventures of making a DJ Mix. I wanted to record "Volume One" this coming weekend but the music "called" me late last evening (When the music calls, you definitely have to answer). Vol.1 just like the "Warm Up" is all analog, just two Turntables and a Mixer! (Not even any effects). Its really amazing how good getting back to the basics can feel sometimes. Lot's of classic tunes are on this one along with a few eclectic newbies to hopefully keep you guys dancing... (Enjoy)

Interflow EP is the second studio EP by English producer Joe Newham on Houseum Records, released under his stage name Gavinco. The album's musical style is described as a synthesis or musical library of electronic sounds incorporated with the acid jazz instrumentation.

This EP is a collection of five tracks starting with the hypnotic yes transient track 'Much Love' with the singer Abela. The second track 'Regards' brings up the motion in the EP. That takes you on a tropical yet tantalizing trip with the solo piano riffs and arithmetic glockenspiel.

Third is 'Interflow' with the long lasting journey of muted trumpets and saxophone riffs that are accompanied by the live instrumentation of drum and bongo. We then move on to the fourth track 'Movate', this track pushes you back out into the dance groove with the heavy live bass recording that has been incorporated into the old school electronic 4/4 house rhythm.

Finally we finish with the bonus digital track 'Imagination' with the upbeat disco drum pattern and lavish ballroom style of house music.
