Mira Joo is a Hungarian-born producer and DJ based in Zürich and Budapest. 
Though historically a classical pianist, she was enchanted to explore the myriad possibilities of electronic music. She collected her first vinyls in a wide range of styles - including breakbeat and electro - and played first in 2004. Her musical palette has expanded over time to touch on techno, tech-house, dub and bass music. An increasing number of gigs marked the promising beginnings of Mira Joo’s career. She has performed at prestigious places all over the world from Iceland to Brazil. Her sets often demonstrate a style-diverse but seamless sensational orbit, mesmerizing organic textures, stunted, bright hi-hats and warbling bass determined to pull the ravers into a heads-up-and-dance hypnotism. As she phrases it, this is a Heidegger-type aesthetic experience. As well as her djing, her production crackles with originality: deep, journey-like tracks brimming with emotional contrast, wild storytelling with abstract visions (e.g. ‘The Origin of Macondo’ single). Her first track was released on Be Massive Records in 2018. 
In addition to her dj-producer career, she co-founded She Fire (organisation to give more space to talented female artists), and she is also a designer who has become a social business innovator, trained in Budapest and Göterborg. Veering into the experimental, from 2017, she has done a research study on the musical way of thinking and its potential to bring forth creative innovation. 
Her unique sound, dynamic vibe, and her fiery, passionate and innovative personality were discovered by the masters as well: few DJs can boast that they were playing in front of and carefully listened to by a tiny but very exclusive crowd, made up of Carl Cox, John Digweed and Dubfire; even fewer can say that afterwards, they were chosen as the winner of this special challenge. Yet Mira Joo is one such DJ. Carl Cox chose her as the best dj, Uner chose her as the best producer, and Dubfire chose her as the 2nd best dj in Burn Residency 2016 music competition (from no less than 5000 entries).
Following the massive, professional critical support closely, she has started her dj residencies in Ibiza in 2016 at Privilege, Vista Club and Ibiza Sonica Radio.
