DJ Messy initially started producing off-the-wall dance music in 1999 and later started mixing in 2003, initially using mostly Hard House and Hard Trance tracks from labels such as Tidy Two, Nukleuz, Shock, Tinrib featuring heavily in many of his early mixes.

In 2005 he started playing at the beach parties in Bournemouth and a few small free parties in the New Forest. Although still not brimming with DJ confidence at this point, things had started to take off for DJ Messy! At this time he had also started to experiment with other styles within the Dance Music genre including Hardcore, Hardstyle and Drum & Bass.

A few years later saw DJ Messy hit the underground club scene in Bournemouth, playing at most of the well known local events such as Implosion, Bang and Fractal Chaos.

Moving forward to the present day DJ Messy can be found mostly playing on the UK Free-Party scene, holding residencies for ATM Soundsystem and until recently, Headrush radio.  He has also been playing a few guest slots recently for Sentient Sounds and Discombobulated Events.
