Resurrecting a label after 11 years is not something that every DJ/producer would relish, but MOGUAI did it in style when he gave new life to his pioneering label PUNX back in May with the hard-hitting new flavor of ‘PunkOmat’. Now the German dance legend delivers some more of his endless expertise and unwavering musical talent through his new single ‘When I Rock’, which will be out on Monday 19th August and available to purchase exclusively through Beatport.

Drawing on many of the influences and experiences he has enjoyed in an illustrious career, MOGUAI has created another absolute electro house stormer – using chopped vocals, pulsating swells of electronica and a pounding 4/4 beat that come together seamlessly and pack one heck of a punch! With a lighter and more melodic breakdown, ‘When I Rock’ has all the ingredients any dance fan could wish for in a track and when it drops, clubbers and festivalgoers all over the world will be whipped up into certain frenzies.

Kicking off the year with the monumental chart-topping collaboration ‘Mammoth’ with Belgian brothers Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike was the perfect start to a slew of quality MOGUAI offerings. Following it up with ‘Champs’ and then signifying a new beginning for PUNX with ‘PunkOmat, now ‘When I Rock’ sits perfectly in this stream of massive tunes and now he’s taking all of these and the rest of his catalogue of scintillating sounds with him on tour around the world.

Having already rocked Europe this summer – including sets around his native Germany, Ibiza and Tomorrowland in Belgium – MOGUAI will be hitting Asia and North America through August and September. This new for 2012 version of the Moby classic 'Extreme Ways' was recorded for the movie The Bourne
Legacy, the 4th movie in the hugely successful Jason Bourne franchise.
 
'Extreme Ways (Bourne's Legacy)' was re-recorded in LA partly at Moby's home studio and partly at Sony
Pictures Studio with 110 piece orchestra with the help of composers Joe Trapanese (Tron:Legacy) and
James Newton Howard (The Dark Knight, The Sixth Sense, King Kong, I Am Legend).
 
Moby's 'Extreme Ways' originally appeared on the studio album '18' released in 2002 and has since been
used on the closing credits of every movie in the Bourne series.
 
Moby 'Extreme Ways (Bourne's Legacy)' is released through Moby's own label Little Idiot and is available
alongside an orchestral version and soon to be released remix package featuring mixes from Moguai,
Tocadisco, Loops of Fury and Loverush UK!

The collaboration came about after both acts met up on the global festival circuit throughout 2012. Creative emails flew back and forth across Europe before the trio finally settled on the skeleton of ‘Mammoth’ as a potential new track. Speaking about the collaboration from his studio in Germany, MOGUAI said, “The track is not so far away from my own solo work. I said to myself, with the right mix this could be something huge, so we got into the studio together and at the end, we had the finished mix that you know now.”
 
A delicious slice of skewed electronica with ‘fist-pump’ written all over it, this titan of a track packs as much energy as it does technical class; crashing bass sections, warped synths and a huge breakdown combining the strengths of both production elements in one fell swoop. ‘Mammoth’ displays the extensive array of musical influences that these two world-renowned acts are constantly drawing their inspiration from, fusing everything together seamlessly for an anthem that will surely be an enormous smash in clubs and at festivals all over the world throughout 2013.
