Boris Shigin is a German-based sound producer. 

What drives him to create music is the eternal search for human stories that can be expressed through groove, synths and lyrics. His latest track 'Not Your Skin' was recognized by Toto Chiavetta and was released on his label 'Borders Of Light'.

Welcome back to our podcast series!

In this week's episode we welcome super talented brazilian dj/producer and owner of @wordsnotenough, @awkasounds.

“Realizing people connecting themselves through electronic music. That was the wake up call I couldn’t ignore. I guess there’s something about the many infinite possibilities and combinations on each and every detail of a track, and how they can affect people’s feelings and create moments…that moves and fascinates me, for sure. It’s something equal to a purpose, or a meaning of life, if you like to put it that way.”
A blended and unique cultural background was not the only result of this life and art experience. Finally, Awka found the means to reach out to others and to get his voice heard. It was clear the words were and couldn’t be enough as what was there to be said couldn’t be understood, but only felt.

Awka’s purpose is now fulfilled through his tracks and productions. On a new phase, his ways of connection are being reproduced by exponential labels such as Akbal Music, Lump Records, Pipe & Pochet, Seven Villas e Warung Recordings. Not to mention his 2 reinterpretations on the english band “Elder Island” tracks, which together sum up to 500 thousand plays on spotify.
