Mötas - Live @ Freerotation 2022

I played at HÖR on my recent trip to Berlin at the end of May and I had a BLAST! 

It felt great to get in there straight off the plane (I landed 1 hour 25 mins before the start time - was tight!) and get stuck in. I LOVE mixing 2 tunes together and making something new from them. It's really a joy. 

My set was 100% improvised, I don't use sync or rekordbox and I hadn't heard 90% of the tunes before apart from checking they were good enough to play so it was really fresh feeling for me to play them and I think that came across in the vibes. 

I also had an amazing time playing the outdoor area of Heidegluhen on Saturday afternoon too. It went really well  - I got a standing ovation at the end and even gave a short speech - I basically said 'I can't do it without you guys so thank YOU'. My first time playing outdoors there and it was unforgettable. Huge thanks to everyone who came along. 

Feeling very grateful and rejuvenated from that weekend!

With a love of house and techno, and an exposure to a variety of electronic music, Mötas likes to forge funky fresh house sounds with minimal beats and a techno touch. He’s featured amongst some of the best from the underground scene at festivals & gigs such as Freerotation, Heal and Natural Selections. Listening to DJ sets in the dome at Freerotation inspired him to get on the decks, and he's quickly developing his own style. Mötas is now producing deep cuts, balanced out with feel good flavour. Some of which we will be hearing in 2023. His event ‘Ymuno’ brings together the sounds he loves most on a dance floor, and his crew have created a new fresh vibe, that's quickly gaining momentum.
