For the third episode of Soul District, Simon Paw invites Marco Socci aka Dj Soch alias "The Italian Stallion". 

Marco is a resident Dj of one of the most important club in Italy, Serendipity now “SRNDPT Club”, where every saturday he shares the console with international artists such as Kink, Tama Sumo, nd_baumecker, Black Madonna, Craig Richards, Zip, Kyle Hall, Steffi, James Priestley, Nina Kraviz, Move d, Joey Anderson and many more.

From the softest deep house to the rawest house, from detroit techno sound to disco’s, his set is like a more than 25 year long journey. 
His DJ sets at the "Panorama Bar" in recent years have left an indelible memory for all the people who were there !

Founder of Black Angus Records, his productions are played and appreciated by many underground and mainstream djs, from Move D to Ben Sims, from Joey Anderson to Steve lawler. The sound of his track knows no bounds.

We are thrilled to present a new mix from one of the most dynamic and promising talents to rise up through the ranks of spiritually deep and cosmically soulful electronic music in the last several years: Gigi Testa.

When you hear his name, you think about all the music hidden around the world.
DJ, producer and music collector, the Italian jazz, soul and cosmic funk purveyor Gigi Testa has been something of a phenomenon. He channels his vast musical taste and knowledge in his own music and sound that incorporates a myriad of elements, from house to disco and back again. Influenced by many cultures and musical styles, he focuses on the deep, noticeably influenced by living legends such as Joe Claussell, Ron Trent and Louie Vega.
He runs his World Peace Music label, where released deep house gems like "Rio Grande" and "Chango Chant", plus some other outstanding cuts including "Love Lights" and "Dream On", that have seen Gigi respectively collaborating with legendary vocalists Kenny Bobien and Joi Cardwell. 
Hidden behind the project Nibiru Humans inspired by Planet X, he experiences, instead, new futuristic sounds like "Space Entrance".
With Cut My Records, a limited 7-inch label, he continues his journey discovering and editing worldwide rhythms.
Last but not least, earlier this year, Gigi launched his new label, Freedom Dance, of which we had the pleasure of premiering "Is this the Future?".

As DJ, Gigi is resident at Basic Club, an audiophile venue in Napoli, but also performed around the world in some of the greatest avenues, performed for Boiler Room, appeared in Chicago on the bill for the Chicago House Music Festival afterparty, sharing a bill with Louie Vega, Joe Claussell and Ron Trent, and many many more.
