EVAN LANDES BIO
Born and raised in New York & currently residing in Los Angeles, Producer / DJ and record company owner Evan Landes (pka Groove Junkies, Cranky Owls, Nimble Digits) has gained wide support and respect throughout the international dance community over two decades for his consistent quality of work.

Since 1995 Evan has released an eclectic array of intoxicating dance grooves which are not bound by any gimmicky trends and memorable songs that stand the test of time. Within the genre of House music, each unique release can run the gamut stylistically - ranging from to deep, tribal, peak hour and electronic influenced tracks to organic soul, funk, afro, latin, jazz and gospel drenched songs.

Throughout the years Evan's original productions and remixes have amassed an impressive 25 Top 10 positions on Traxsource’s Top 100 download charts, a Top 5 and Top 20 on Beatport, as well as the no. 1, 2 & 5 slots on the European based DJ Mag Hype Chart and a couple of Top 5 positions in Billboard’s Top 100 Dance chart. In October 2010 his critically acclaimed debut artist album “In The Zone” shot up to the #1 position on the Top 100 Album Downloads chart on Traxsource within 4 days of its release and received ‘Album of the Year & Month’ kudos from numerous industry publications. 

His body of work has garnered DJ support from industry legends such as Frankie Knuckles, Louie Vega, David Morales, Roger Sanchez, Ben Watt, Joey Negro and Tony Humphries to name a few, along with a ‘who’s who’ list of industry tastemakers.

He's also collaborated on highly charted dance floor anthems for the likes of Om Records and Ben Watt’s Buzzin’ Fly and has contributed to the output of iconic labels such as Island/Def Jam, A&M, Warner Bros., J Records, Interscope, Ultra, Defected, Definity, Soulfuric, Mn2S, and LAY Records.

High profile commissioned remixes for international dance artists and top grossing acts have solidified Evan’s position as one of today’s most consistent and influential producers within the global House music community. Opting for quality over quantity, Groove Junkies treatment’s of songs from artists such as Ben Watt, Frankie Knuckles, Leela James, Deborah Cox, Marc Evans, Michelle Weeks, Lisa Millett, Carolyn Harding, Richard Earnshaw, Natasha Watts, Samantha James, Colonel Abrams, Rihanna and Pussycat Dolls all showcase Evan’s attention to production detail, his musicality and ability to move the crowd. 

Nominations for ‘Breakthrough Producer’ at London’s House Music Awards in 2005, and ‘Breakthrough DJ’ at the Ibiza DJ Awards in 2006 found Groove Junkies in company with nominees such as Dennis Ferrer, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso & Jamie Lewis and offered well deserved recognition of Evan’s exceptional ability.

He has headlined on 5 different continents and rocked the decks at such diverse venues / festivals / parties as Detroit’s Electronic Movement Festival, The Electric Daisy Carnival, Def Mix @ Pacha, Ibiza, Club Essential in Riga Latvia, Catwalk in Barcelona Spain, Turmills & The End in London, Street Parade in Zurich Switzerland, SHE @ Trademark in Sydney Australia, Indochine in Jakarta, Fruto Beach in Cartagena Colombia, Vox Bar & Pixie Club in Brazil, Mansion in Miami, Ruby Skye in San Francisco, The Smart Bar in Chicago and DEEP & Balance in Los Angeles to name a few. 

There’s no shortage of US based DJ’s & House producers, so it takes something quite special to rise above the rest and shine. The fact that Groove Junkies have cultivated such a strong reputation in such varied corners of this industry is testament not only to Evan’s enormous talent as a producer, his unbridled skill as a DJ and record label executive, but a combination of all - intertwined with that rarest of things; true star quality. There are no indications of letting up the pressure in 2016 and beyond.

Music lover and DJ with a vast interest in music. Mixing tunes since the early 2000's. Fell for house music in the late eighties. Into almost all house genres, but my mixes mainly feature soulful, deep, classic, funky and disco house.

A native of Naples Italy,dj/producer Junior White has more than two decades of experience mixing and djing. As a teenager he was hired at Boom Boom Record Shop in Naples where he fine-tuned his ear for underground dance music. He began djing under the tutelage of Dj Tony White, who became his mentor. Soon he was playing his own nights in the clubs of Naples and in 1992 he was resident in one of the biggest clubs in Southern Italy, the Metropolis. Around this time Junior White also took an interest in production and A&R. While still in Italy he worked as A&R/Import Buyer for Level One Distribution, the third largest distributer in Europe at that time. He also started collaborating with musicians in the studio on various projects including Fluide – “Vaccara’” (King Street Records). In 1999 he moved to New York City, USA and opened his own company "Music & Song Inc." Within 6 months he was collaborating with many US Labels including Strictly Rhythm, Atlantic Records and Nervous Records to name a few. Meanwhile he was Djing around town in various clubs such as: GBH, Cheetha, Dekk and Centro-Fly.
In 2006, after a brief hiatus in Italy, Junior White returned to New York City where he met singer/songwriter Noelle Barbera. The two began collaborating on house music projects with the help of Gianni “Blackjack” Fontana of Explode Studios. Their recent releases on SoulShine Recordings, Soundmen on Wax, Shines Records and Next Dimension Music are making DJ top ten lists and gaining worldwide support. Their 2009 release “Wake Up” on Sounds of the Booth reached the Traxsource Top Twenty. In 2010, Junior initiated his Gospel Project, a collection of remixes of popular Gospel artists for the dance floor. Junior’s mission is to bring the word of God into the clubs of the world. “Music is praise,” says Junior, “and where there is music, there is God.” The Junior White DJ Gospel project is supported by Tony Humphries, Quentin Harris, Souldynamic, Spellband, Louis Benedetti and many more. As of late, Junior is also in demand as a remixer turning out new mixes for Soundmen on Wax and Gotta Keep Faith Records. He recently toured the Carribean and Southern Italy and returns to New York having recently played at Nikki Beach, Le Souk and Zanzibar NYC. He has also played at New York underground house parties such as, NYC DEEP, Love&Light and Good Peoples. In 2011, Junior was resident Dj at a weekly party in NYC with the legendary Tony Humphries.

DJ Soulseo began to listen to music as a child, listening to bands such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Genesis, Pink Floyd,  all great artists from the 70s & 80s.

At the age of 16, he bought his first electric guitar and started playing with a group in his home city. In parallel to his love for Rock music, he also often went out to Discos, appreciating the great artists of that movement such as Chic, EW & F, Change, but he particularly loved 'that Funky music.
Two years later, Soulseo gathered some musical experience in a local radio station and at the discos. During the 80s, he lived for 10 years in Zurich and was able to follow closely the birth of the Techno movement. 
Then one day, about 15 years ago, he  bought his first modern mixer with 2 CDJs and started mixing - never stopped.

Initiated in 2010, the Junior White DJ Gospel Project features remixes and re-edits of popular gospel artists for the dance floor. The first installment, Fred Hammond's "Keep on Praisin" received rave reviews and worldwide support from the likes of Tony Humphries. The JWGP #2 Deitrick Haddon's "Touch Me" was also very well received thrilling dancer's at the IPM Rome 2011 and getting serious play on Gospel House dedicated airwaves. But it was the 3rd installment, Kirk Franklin's "Keep Your Head" that was to put the JWGP on the map. Introduced by Tony Humphries at the Suncebeat Festival in Croatia in 2011 to an incredible response, getting support as well from Quentin Harris, Louis Benedetti, Sarah Foote Favouritizm, Luis Radio, Spellband and Souldynamic to name a few. The latest installment, Fred Hammond's "I'm in Love" continues the amazing pace of this project with a beautiful song which made it's debut earlier this year at Southport Weekender.  

Junior White believes that music is praise and where there is music there is God. It is his mission to bring God into the clubs of the world.
