Producer, dj & live act from Slovakia. 

DETEKM is a pseudonym covering Maroš Sabo, a perennial representative of the Slovakia electronic scene.

DETEKM is a project into which he transforms everything that affects him, from music to interpersonal relationships. His production is characterised by the rigour of sounds, a dark ambient background and occasional madness. Especially more advanced listeners how can appreciate both experimentation and simplicity enjoy his performances.

He is a regular guest performer in Prague clubs, he has played at the Wilsonic, Waves Bratislava, Sharpe festival,  Colours of Ostrava and Pohoda festivals, at the Wilsonic_FM podcast and performed live in the Pohoda_FM, Popo_FM & Leporelo_FM radio show.

Hi, I'm Dj Kung FUNK Panda. I'm from Slovakia, where I played as DJ Jürgen Schmidt   https://soundcloud.com/dj-jurgen-schmidt  but  currently I live  in the beautiful Austrian Tirol Alps. I'm a old school  DJ from the time when party tracks weighed 10 kilos and the best Mitsubishi wasn't a car. I think there was a great atmosphere in the clubs back then and I want to bring exactly that atmosphere to today's dance floor. Every DJ likes to mix a different style, I like to mix Nu Jazz, FUNK, Hip Hop, Breakbeat, House, Electro, Techno and Drum & Bass.

I discovered the magic of underground electronic music later in life, and it captivated me all the more.  A lifelong music enthusiast, I began my musical journey in childhood by playing the piano.  My diverse influences, rooted in classical music and expanded through various genres, have shaped my broad and nuanced approach to electronic music.  Ambient, minimal, house, electro, or techno, I enjoy exploring it all with a spirit of experimentation, aiming to create immersive, carefully crafted musical stories. My goal is to guide listeners through a range of moods, atmospheres, and dynamic shifts. While I naturally incline to downtempo, I easily find myself in high-energy dance positions, when the vibe calls for it.  I would describe my sets as a deliberate infusion of rawness, decadence, melancholy and bizarre elements, balanced with a portion of lightness and elegance, with a strong emphasis on groove, musicality and my beloved dub. I love when music is intelligent, unpredictable and enriching to the human senses. Over time, I have developed a deep passion for vinyl.

In recent years, besides DJing, I have also worked as a promoter - starting as part of the PLAY. collective and later curating my own project Kolajnica at the Kolaj22 underground venue in Poprad, Slovakia.

The concept PLAY. was created in the beginning of 2018 by https://soundcloud.com/djmarosh in Žilina/Slovakia - as a regular vinyl club night. 

In addition to organizing events, PLAY. also offer sound and DJ equipment rental, DJ School and DJ Room for rent.
