Greg Naïro is a Belgian producer, born and raised in Liège.

He considers music as the mirror of his feelings, and whilst being  versatile and elusive, he doesn't restrict himself to a unique musical universe.

Since his childhood, he has been exploring various musical feelings according to his mood, leading him to start music production in 2009 as a beatmaker, and evolving into creating deeper house sounds by 2015. His influences are varied and surprising, and you can easily find references throughout his productions, which has led to labels such as Oleeva Records and Everything Will be OK having released his music.

Gaining more and more attention over the recent years with his studio output, Greg Naïro has also showcased his talent during live performances, and you can discover his love for deep and organic sounds on his new EP for Dawn till Dusk...

Another spring-themed mix here, as the waves of wildflowers and tree buds continue, blooms growing more energetic and full. This mix kicks off with the gentle melodic tones of Dorisburg's "Voices,"  a track I simply cannot get enough of and would happily leave on repeat for days. From there, things gradually open into brighter and more housey territory, before peaking with some strong bass energy for the season of rebirth.

Kicking off with musclecars’ soulful grooves on BBE Music and a dazzling nu-disco rework by The Orielles, we seamlessly travel through Tech Support’s synth-heavy escapades on Semi Delicious and the cosmic Americana vibes of Flying Mojito Bros. Klark Bent & Simon Sheldon fly the flag for Freebooter Lounge, while Dino Lenny & Grace Jones deliver a very special collaboration. “As a kid, I had only a negative perception of the word, ’Tangled’. Shoelaces, fishing lines, phone cords were all things which constantly needed de-tangling. As an adult, I love being tangled, tangled with my family, friends, the local community and in life in general. I only hope that as I grow old, I get more and more tangled."

His description ties in nicely with the emotional and immersive vibe that progressives house can create. This mix aims to capture the same vibe and spirit with layers of melodies and interwoven rhythms and a deep emotional flow. Each track 'tangled' with the next, hopefully pulling you deeper into the sound as it does with me. Just like life, it’s not meant to be linear, it’s meant to wrap around you. Here’s to getting more tangled in music, moments and meaning x Nomad_T.

You could say Chymera is a veteran of the underground electronic music scene; after all, he has been producing and releasing since the early 00’s. Known for pushing a more melodic and introspective sound which always float on top of warm and inviting techno beats, it is no surprise that the Irishman have had productions featured on past Balance compilations (2008’s epic 3 disc effort from SOS, and Funk D’Void’s 2012 release), alongside other mix series’ like Global Underground and Renaissance. The producer have a knack for earworm melodies which have found him favour with some of the more discerning techno labels including Delsin, Ovum, Figure, Outpost, and even Papa Sven’s Cocoon Recordings. A regular on the European circuit, the Berlin-based producer has this year alone featured in clubs like Tresor and Watergate alongside festival appearances. We are very excited to finally release his Balance selections podcast: A 60 minute deep techno excursion which is hypnotic and full of depth...

The German artist from Bremen likes to inject a sense of fun into everything she does, even her DJ name is loosely taken from the English words ‘be better’. Her famous live session, ‘Bebetta in Bed’, sees her live streaming in her pyjamas from her bed alongside guest acts like Super Flu and Florian Kruse. 

The majority of her productions can be found on the Monaberry label, but you will also find her work on Get Physical, Sincopat, and Anjunadeep. Her productions are full of inventive ideas, hook-laden melodies, and lush chords, it’s easy to see why her music resonate with such respected imprints. 

On this Balance Selections mix, Bebetta shines once again, with a colourful selection of tracks that serves as a natural extension of her personality.

I grew to appreciate music as a kid, listening to Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, Duran Duran, Chaka Khan, Jan Hammer, Tangerine Dream, Jean-Michel Jarre, and many other wonderful artists. I really connected with the electronic sounds of the ’80s. I’d sell 7” and 12” singles in my uncle’s shop in Glasgow by demoing tracks to customers and cranking up the sound—falling in love with the bass, the melodies, and the rhythms.

Over time, I’ve come to deeply appreciate emotional sounds and percussive, hypnotic beats. My next generation of influences included Sasha, John Digweed, Nick Warren, Deep Dish, Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyk, Danny Howells, Pole Folder, Ricky Ryan, Slam, and of course, el maestro Hernán Cattáneo.

I’m based in the Bay of Plenty, NZ, spreading the sounds of deep, hypnotic progressive melodies and electronic music with like-minded souls in the communities here. I blend emotion, rhythm, melody, surprises, and storytelling into my sets, and I’ve been lucky enough to play everywhere from late-night dancefloors in Australia and New Zealand, to sun-soaked open gardens in Córdoba, Argentina, and tropical bars in Fiji and the Cook Islands. As a wise man once said, “Let there be house.”
