DJ ONQ (born Safwaan Goodenough; October 7, 1985) is a musical artist, DJ and turntablist from Cape Town, South Africa. In 2011 he achieved the prestigious DMC DJ Champion award and competed in the DMC World DJ Championships.

Circa 2012 saw him work alongside recording artist Yasiin Bey, best known by his stage name Mos Def. In 2013 the dynamic duo of MC and DJ performed live for the first time since Bey’s 2009 performance.

By 2014 he joined Yasiin Bey’s arts collective ‘A Country Called Earth’ with all new performances. The first of which, was hosted and broadcast live via Okayplayer, celebrating Muhammed Ali's 72nd birthday.

During the same time he was approached by Tableek of Maspyke in collaboration with Straight Path Jewlz and released the Burntberry x Straight Path Jewlz Mixtape. The mixtape was promoted officially on limited edition cassette.

By 2015 he featured as a collaborative in studio with Yasiin Bey.

In 2016 he fulfilled the last of a few club residencies and festival appearances including his co-founded monthly event supported by Monster Energy.

Circa 2017 saw him work alongside Native Instruments conducting DJ workshops of his set-up for live performance.

In 2021 he featured live on DJ Qbert’s Twitch channel and by 2023 joined Dirt Style Records for an unreleased series available via DJ Qbert’s website.
