I’m a music producer, not a DJ—(at least for now.)

I’m at the beginning of a journey I’ve been waiting to start for years.

I’ve been listening to music since I was 12. After more than 25 years of ideas, influences and projects living in my head, I finally decided to start turning them into sound.

I’m still at the beginning of my production journey, experimenting with Ableton, using very few loops and mostly building from one-shots, samples and my own arrangements.

My sound is deeply rooted in percussion and a spiritual, rhythmic energy, shaped by African and broader Eastern influences. I like to blend these elements with futuristic textures, electronic sounds and experimental ideas.

This is the beginning of a long journey — bringing to life the music I’ve been imagining for years.

Born in Rio / Brazil, he is music influence is frist by "ogan"(Umbanda drums)samba drums and after funk carioca, industrial front242,hip hop/rap,Belgium New Beat ... Jo.hana is a Belgrade-born, London-based DJ and visual artist. She came up through Banda Panda - what started as a multidisciplinary collective evolved into a DJ duo - throwing nights at 20/44 and Drugstore and bringing in international artists. Along the way she founded F-Society to give local female DJs and producers a proper platform.

Jo.hana's mixes are expressions of her chaotic musical influences, blending downtempo, leftfield, hypnotic trance and psychedelic dance music, experimental, breakbeat, trance, and techno to create an iridescent and vibrant sonic experience. She’s now translating that approach into her own productions.

Bandura (Jakub Samochowiec) is a musician, producer and DJ from Basel, Switzerland.

With Gigs in Basel, Berne, Lucerne, Zurich, Freiburg, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Ljubliana, etc., Bandura has become firmly established in the Swiss party landscape.

The DJ Sets are best described by their eclectic diversity. From vintage Funk to modern Electronica, from 60 to 220 bpm, from Bedouin Bass to Bombay Boogie, everything can be found, as long as it is grooving and doesn't take itself too serious.

Bandura shared the decks or supported Mo'Horizons, Quantic, The Correspondents, Parov Stelar, N.O.H.A., Simon Goss (Wahwah 45), Henry Storch, Renegades of Jazz, Frohlocker, DJ Deli-Kutt, Shantisan, DJ Farrapo and many more.

Besides of DJing, Bandura makes own tracks. Inspired by funk, calypso, breakbeats, cumbia, trip hop, bhangra, electro swing, bossa nova and indietronica sounds, he combines elements of live played instruments with groovy samples, fat beats and crispy analogue goodness to produce a seducing mélange.

Tracks by Bandura have been released on the Unique label from Düsseldorf. Further releases are planned on Resense and other labels. Preparations for a live-band are also well underway.

It will not be silent around Bandura anytime soon.

– Desert Indie Roots Music –
