Kindred spirits do have a habit of gravitating towards each other and with a shared love of disco, boogie and house music it was perhaps inevitable that sooner or later legendary production duo Jon Pearn and Michael Gray aka Full Intention and highly qualified record label exec/artist manager Nick Halkes would do something pretty interesting together. Towards the end of last year they went into the studio with vocalist Jazz Morely and a boogie masterpiece was born.

'Night Of My Life' whilst paying respect to the past, this modern production is seriously pushing the sound forwards. Electro funk brilliance with a heavy synth bass line, a D-Train inspired hooks served with Jazz’s hypnotising vocals. Further remixes from hottest producer on the scene Dr Packer takes us further into disco land adding some serious extra heat - with a full vocal & a sensational dub workout.

Full Intention have worked with some of the biggest names in the industry like Todd Terry, Eric Morillo, Frankie Knuckles, Jamiroquai, Duke, Barbara Tucker, Dajae, Ultra Nate, Aly-us & Inner City and not forgetting their current work for Glitterbox & Defected Records.

Nick Halkes forged his reputation by founding both the XL Recordings and Positiva labels, signing artists as diverse and successful as Prodigy, SL2, Reel 2 Real, The Bucketheads and Barbara Tucker.

I was asked recently if I'm always playing the same tracks during weeks and I was thinking about this question. Well, of course not. But it depends! As a DJ you are flexible and can play whatever you want, however your mood is. But I'm not changing my playlist 100% every weekend. So it's always like this: few new tracks were added to my playlist, few tracks went out. For this gig in Toulouse I had the pleasure to play the sunset. So I started with melodic and deep tracks, ending with more progressive and dark stuff. Finally it's all about how I feel it. 

Just a little insight. :-)
