Boom Merchant presents a four-track, dark and raw techno EP on his record label Tribal Pulse.

Originally from Ireland, but currently spending his time between Glasgow (Scotland) and Mexico City (Mexico), Boom Merchant's style blends industrial percussion with ominous basslines.

Much of Boom Merchant's original material is released via Tribal Pulse, but he has also featured on other respected record labels such as T78's Autektone Dark.

Having made a name for himself within Glasgow's underground techno scene, Boom Merchant is well known for his residency at the Surge Glasgow nightclub. He also has an international fanbase leading to gigs everywhere from Germany to Japan.

"Fedex" opens the release with a booming kick drum and throbbing bassline, which underpins shuffling hi-hats and an aggressive vocal hook that adds to the track’s exhilarating tension.

"Dark Train" is a stripped-back track that combines rattling percussion with juddering synth stabs and suspense-building swells.

"Kannibal" is a full-throttle track with a hammering kick drum layered with thrashing hi-hats and sci-fi influenced atmospherics that shroud trippy vocal chants.

"Let It All Go" closes the release with apocalyptic synths combined with a wonky bassline and mechanical percussion that gives this hard-hitting techno track a dystopian vibe.

Michele Urbano was born in the city of Herne on February 27,1982. Since he was twelve years old he dedicated himself to the listening of electro techno house music, developing a lasting passion for this kind of music and for bands like Kraftwerk, The Alan Parsons Project, continuing with Depeche Mode, The Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, Moby and dj producers such as Satoshi Tomiie, Sven Väth, M.A.N.D.Y., Layo & Bushwacka, Mirwais and many other artists belonging to the electro music scene. (In 1987 he moved to Italy and) since 1998 he put into action this passion working as dj (adopting UMIIN as pseudonym) at private parties and in dancing clubs of the Marche and Abruzzo’s Riviera. He also cooperated as DJ with many rock bands, taking part to many concerts, and opening event to bands like Punkreas and Après La Classe. In these latest years he improves electronic sounds by mixing and producing techniques and more heterogeneous experiences that lead him to face different types of music.

Plan Music&Art 2024 ADE Showcase

Oscar Mulder, better known by his stage name DJ Perroz, is a seasoned techno producer from the Netherlands who has made a lasting impact on the electronic music scene. With roots stretching back to the 1990s and a unique blend of influences, Oscar’s journey through music is both inspiring and unconventional. Known for his driving techno sound and storytelling compositions, Oscar’s music is a reflection of both his past and present experiences, blending modern elements with a nostalgic nod to the 90s rave culture.
This set is the first hour of the set played at ADE 2024 featuring his Label Let Techno Unite Records and his own tracks. This mix is an hour taken from his Dj set set that was recorded at Plan Music Art ADE Showcase over there in Amsterdam last week.

Oscar Mulder, better known as DJ Perroz, is a seasoned techno producer from the Netherlands with a rich history in the music scene. His journey began in the 90s, deeply influenced by the hardcore genre, before taking a hiatus. However, his love for electronic music never waned, and a thoughtful gift from his wife – a DJ controller – reignited his passion five years ago. Since then, he has immersed himself in the driving techno sound, drawing inspiration from both past and present icons like Buzz Fuzz and Charlotte de Witte.  

Oscar’s music is a reflection of his diverse influences, blending modern techno with nostalgic 90s elements, characterized by storytelling arrangements and a touch of simplicity. His creative process resembles that of crafting a narrative, with each track telling its own story. Despite embarking on his musical journey alone, Oscar acknowledges the pivotal role of Adriana Vega, whose support and belief in his talent led to the signing of his track “Focus and Concentration.” 

His mantra of self-belief and authenticity resonates deeply with fellow artists, as he encourages them to stay true to their sound while continually evolving. In the years to come, Oscar envisions himself performing his music regularly, fueled by his unwavering passion for techno and dedication to his craft.
