The Evil Tom Show - 04.08.2021

Every year austria's public broadcast Radio FM4 invites various DJs on 31st of December to put together a mix with some of their personal highlights from the last year. All of those mixes get airplay on new year's eve.

Like in the last years i've tried to cover as much as possible in 45 minutes, giving you a personal selection of songs that were relevant in 2013. This is just a peak of great songs from this year, of course alot of good stuff is missing. Couldn't fit it all in there. And don't worry, there is a reason why i did not feature many artists from Austria this year. Soon i will dedicate an entire mix to Hip Hop from Austria.

This was the first track we wrote after our first album 'You Can Be Special Too', Vice Magazine asked us to write something for their cover CD & 'Happy Ending' is what we came up with. (Pun intended)

It also ended up on the Japanese release of You Can Be Special Too...

DJ Phekt started spinning records in 1995. He worked with german rap-artist FIVA and Vienna-based lyricist KAYO, playing live-shows and scratching on their records.  Phekt is also part of SHAKEWELL SOUND, which he founded with DJ Dan (Texta). 

He works at austrian public radio FM4 where he co-hosts and spins records every thursday from 10 pm til midnight, together with Trishes at austrias only nationwide Hip Hop-Radio Show FM4 TRIBE VIBES.
