space•cast 019 comes from Gillan, a supremely talented musician and artist who lives and breathes the kind of beautifully rhythmic sonic tapestry she has woven through this mix.

Gillan's exploration and love of psychedelic and cosmic music is rooted in the connection to something so much deeper and bigger than us - and the ritualistic setting it can put us in allows us to form a deeper relationship with the ancestral origin of sound and rhythm. 

This mix was recorded live at space•lab and we hear Gillan moving through the gears from a wonderfully textured and rhythmic opening to a pacey deep, rolling finale.

DJ, collector of music and knowledge, photographer, expert gardener and website designer.

Introduced to EDM scene for the first time in 1997 upon arriving to Canada (Energy 108, Hits 103 dot 5, Power 88.5) at the age of 12 and immediately started collecting music. Vinyl, CDs, digital. In 2005 began making music mixes. Started DJ'ing in 2008, gradually developing into an independent mobile DJ with own equipment and complete lighting system. Proudly using a turntable-based setup and Native Instruments interface.

Listens and collects every style of EDM except dubstep, in particularly prefers the 1975-2005 era and some new stuff (deep house, garage, nu disco).
