This is a new version of a remix I did way back in 1998 or 99... The original version of this was done on ACID Pro and took me ages to get right (and still sounds hideous to my ears) compared to this version that I did from scratch in Ableton and took me a couple of hours. I've replaced the drum track with something that I've liberally borrowed (i.e. stolen completely) to make this something more in line with what I play these days as the original remix was meant to be a house remix.

I shared the original with other DJ's back in 1999 and It was leaked to the internet without my knowledge or my name attached (which may have been a blessing really). It is still strange to hear the original remix being played in weird places like at the Olympic games or in videos on Youtube especially when I know that it came from my crappy pc in the loungeroom of my old flat that could barely cope with running ACID Pro....ah well...enjoy.

Loose Connection - Obscure Angles [178] - Torog RMX

The name of this mix came about during a conversation with my good friend Scott, after playing a set very similar to this at an underground party in Los Angeles.  Scott, who has been listening to Psytrance for some time now, remarked that what I played in my set that night was the perfect type of Psytrance to make new people fall in love with this music for the first time.  Both of us have roots in melodic Trance, and given how melodic, and emotionally diverse the tracks in the set were, his comment made perfect sense - for people with similar music backgrounds to us.  Little did Scott know that my brain constantly works to find and manufacture puns... And so here we are...  I am proud to present "Fall In Love With Psytrance 2017," which features a diverse assortment of emotionally complex, melodic, driving, and sometimes altogether weird Psychedelic Trance music.  So what are you waiting for?  Give the set a listen... And as always, it's FREE to download!  Enjoy!

Gahara is the name of the musical project created by Vicente Gomes in 2011. Ever since a child he has always been involved with music, having been part of a couple bands and always creating and experimenting with soundscapes. Gahara has a strong nocturnal sound, having each time a unique set depending on timeslot with vaying BPMs from 138-160. For this Radiozora set, Gahara explored the Uroboros Records side of the project, with tracks from 138-142 BPM on his unique psychedelic progressive style.

Ruigoord (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈrœyxoːrt]) is a village in the Houtrakpolder in the Dutch province of North Holland, situated within the municipality of Amsterdam. Until the 1880s, it was an island in the IJ bay, which turned into a polder. The village is nowadays partially closed in by the Port of Amsterdam, and lies about 8 km east of Haarlem.[1]

In the 1960s the village was evacuated by the municipality of Amsterdam, which intended to extend its harbour, but the plans fell through. In 1972 the village was squatted by a group of artists who planned to make a colony there.[2][3] As such it exists to this day, but it is now legalized. Full moon parties are regularly organised in the formerly Roman Catholic village church and every year there is the Landjuweel (Land Jewel) festival in August.[4]

Since the early 2000s, the village has staged an annual poetry festival over the Whitsun weekend, Vurige tongen (Fiery Tongues). One of the festival's three days is always devoted to international poets. From 2003 on, a yearly Ruigoord Trophy has been awarded to individuals who have selflessly dedicated themselves to maintaining the village as an important cultural stronghold. The first such trophy was presented to Simon Vinkenoog. Rawar is Helder Amaral from Portugal, born at Porto city in late 70 ́s. Rawar project is intended to bean electronic music act, directed to psychedelic scene and the reflection of some of the feelings and emotions presented in all day life in human-beings, trying to overcome fears and sadness trough musical meditation. Rawar project as absorbed the influences of Helder ́s music background, from heavy metal,to the 80 ́s pop rock, Disco and psytrance all of them are present on the frequencies and patterns created on these project. The project Rawar comes to light in 2006 from the ashes of helder ́s first incursion trough psychedelic production (Dominus).

☆ After 2 weeks of spiritual ceremonies, everyone was ready for a fair bit of dancing! When I arrived at the stage an hour before kick-off, people were sitting on the dance floor, waiting for the music to start. And the second I gave the signal they stood up and were ready for action! The place exploded!

I’m happy to release my recording from Sandbox Festival in Hurghada Egypt. I always love playing the Middle East. The sights, sounds, tastes, and smells are very different than my home, all of which represent one of my favorite aspects of DJing: getting enjoy the world’s diversity. Beyond that, I’ve found that the people of the region are an incredibly friendly and passionate bunch, so playing a festival that attracts the heads from many across the region was special for me.

The Sandbox mainstage was a big one - these stages are sometimes tricky for me as I feel pressured to go for the jugular and bang out a medley of big drops for those hands in the air moments, but I resisted the pressure and went instead for undulation between the deep moments building to the big ones while maintaining a steady groove through. Hope that idea came through, hope you enjoy the set, and can’t wait to make my way back to the Middle East!

Terraπ (pronounced TerraPi) is the alias of Maurice, who first appeared behind the turn tables in 2010. His name originates from his love to nature (terra lat. = earth) and the letter π (:pi), which stands for eternity. The combination of these words sounds like therapy. A meaningful name, as he says, since music is some kind of therapy for him. Terraπ describes his sound as creaky with screwing acid and dynamic basslines, which will pitchfork you onto the next level. Playing with spheres and vibes - at the same time building up and maintaining almost geometrical structures just like the classic orchestra music by J. S. Bach - he brings elves, gnomes and goblins to life.  ;-) 
 
After five years of learning the mixing process and performing in rather private surroundings, he decided to share his passion with others. To accomplish that goal he became a member of the chaishop.com-family in 2015. In August 2018 Terraπ became an official dj for the legendary label Spontaneous Aerobics from Munich, Germany. Only one month earlier in July 2018 he started to work as a producer for the newly founded label Root Sector Records.

Karl Pilbrow's passion and appreciation for music has been a lifelong affair. Originally coming from New Zealand, he moved to Melbourne in early 2012. 

  In the years following Karl began to experience the outdoor festival culture the city is renowned for, he could not help but fall in love with electronic music. This new-found affection took him to all parts of the globe, intent on learning more about the outdoor music culture, the communities involved, and most importantly… the music.  

Fast forward to today and you’ll find one of the best exponents for Progressive House in Melbourne. Atmospheric, melodic, uplifting and groovy, Karl has dedicated himself to refining a sound that is true to himself and the music that inspires him.   

In a career that only began three years ago Karl’s meteoric rise already seen many highlights. These include playing sunset on Sunset at Rainbow Serpent 2019, playing after Nick Warren (UK), warming up for Roger Martinez (NED), numerous sets at Burning Man 2017, performances at Babylon Festival and a residency with Melbourne outfit Coco Poco Loco.   

Karl is also an integral part of community events company Wildwood, not only as a resident DJ but as an event manager. This has produced the perfect creative outlet for both his music and his love for festival culture.

A solo project of Eddy, a Lebanese artist for more than a decade. Residing in Lebanon and performing with several Mediterranean and European musical scenes.

Having started his artistic journey in European capitals, and later stretched it towards his home country.

Lecturing in academia, and working in Hypnosis and Epigenetics, he is also a renowned Neuro Linguistic Programmer who recurrently found a purpose in building a connecting bridge between the experiences in the science of psyche and the arts that manifest it. 

Accordingly, VSM has consistently and intentionally been expressing his exclusive sound selection philosophy through a wide spectrum of sensory colors and through the absence of them.

Indulging the visual, the auditory and the kinesthetic of his crowd in numerous polyphonic atmospheres; mainly: Forest-psy, Goa-trance and Downbeat floors.
He is a strong believer that transformations happen in peak and trance states, and his passion has always reminded us of that.

Pinar Neuschler aka PINAR is a dj who grew up in Istanbul. Beside her passion for music which comes from growing up in a very musically influenced family, attending festivals and parties all over the world inspired her to perform as a dj.
She has been performing in many festivals and parties in Turkey and India, lately performed at Universo Paralello Festival in Brazil, WAO Festival in Italy ,Masters Of Puppets in Check Republic and Modem Festival in Croatia.
She is known for playing night time psychedelic tunes but for her it is all about groove regardless genre, tempo and style.
