I started my set with Lambada and Brazilian Zouk for the "Keeping it Rio" theme for the lamba dancers at Zouk Heat.  Often times at events the lamba dancers like to have meet ups to gather and dance together and switch partners frequently.  For Zouk Heat 2024 they asked me if I could play lamba so they could all be on the dance floor and dance together.

I was asked to play a Lambada friendly set in prime time on Sunday evening during the Canada Zouk Congress.  This is one of my favorite events on the planet.  The energy in the room was amazing all night.  This was my last set for the event. I got the first song from my good friend JC Arzaga.

This set was recorded LIVE from the rooftop stage for the Burning Man Fundraiser for Camp Contact with the Foamy Homies actively foaming people with their "human car wash" set up! This set takes you a journey through deep, dark house, afro house, melodic techno, middle eastern inspired house and uplifting latin house with a hint of jazz. >> DJ Nerds << In a recent private with DJ Kakah, I was challenged to experiment more outside the box. The only "planned" part of this set was the opening couplet and, beyond that, the idea was to play.  In this set I ended up transitioning in places I normally wouldn't, between genres that shouldn't work together, and playing with layering and mashups in bold, new ways. As a result, I felt more "visible" as a DJ, with more in-your-face (yet still smooth) transitions, and created a set with some of my strangest energetic / BPM curves to date. Hope you enjoy this little experiment 😉
