Stateside Jungle Vol. 1 narrates the exhilarating movements within jungle’s current-day American underground, compiled by Don-Ri’s Twist label. 14 tracks from 8en, BC Rydah, Dev/Null, DJ Airwalk, Dope On Plastic, Krugah, M27, NANA, Ontology, Poisonfrog, Quaad, Soeneido, Soulox and SWAP MEET! chronicle the rich array of sounds from US junglists repping the quick rhythms of breaks ‘n’ bass within their local scenes.

Jungle has steadfast been a pearl of the rave for over 3 decades now, a UK-born phenomenon of cascading breaks and gut-wrenching subs that has caused havoc within the dance. Don-Ri’s Twist crew have been a party-driven advocate for the sound within the US, championing its underground inclinations throughout NYC’s best intimate spaces. Returning to their label division, they follow last year’s debut release from Div Pro with Stateside Jungle Vol. 1; a hefty 14 track compilation gathering scene veterans and newcomers alike from across America to provide a fascinating snapshot of the junglist USA underground.

This month’s Generation X Radio Show is a 2-hr specialty featuring an exclusive Amsterdam Junglists takeover! There is an interview with Planet K and Gimmeamfbreakbeat (the founders of the crew) along with the rest of the crew: Kizzero, Rikipicchi, DJKDZ, and BBMP NAAYI. It is a good chance to get the inside scoop on their journey and unique sound. Plus, DJKDZ of AJK brings a high-nrg guest mix including also plenty of unreleased material of his Break Alias side project that’ll keep you moving.
