Musical marvel Third Attempt returns to Beatservice with his latest audio offerings, serving the first of a series of dancefloor oriented releases with the irresistible four-tracker 'Trust In Theme'.

Torje Fagertun Spilde – better-known by his Third Attempt production moniker – has routinely amazed with his prolific output since emerging as a creative force a little over two years ago. Now a beloved Beatservice mainstay, the quality, scope and volume of work produced by the 25-year-old artist has seen his reputation soar at a rate that can only be described as meteoric.

The EP opens with the feel-good flex of 'Checking You Out'. Here, amorous vocals saunter over a sumptuous bed of infectious guitar, cinematic strings and driving bass before the dainty lead melody ushers the groove into a floor-focused breakdown. Next, Third Attempt illustrates his love of dusty-fingered sample manipulation on 'Teach Me', where smokey vocals drift across waves of twinkling keys, funk guitars and impactful horns as tightly-spun rhythm and bass guide the tempo.

'Turbo' continues the funk-flecked theme, with crisp drums driving mesmerising guitar licks, spacey synths and stirring chord progressions. Suspenseful strings and sensual vocals rise in as the evolving arrangement steadily unfolds, with the neatly woven music pitched perfectly to sound equally striking in disco-loving bars, clubs, and living rooms. Finally, 'Secret' completes the set in stunning style, with luscious chords, hypnotic guitar riffs and robust bass augmented by soul-drenched vocal stabs and atmospheric synth work.

'Trust In Theme' is every bit as cultured and coherent as we've come to expect from this talented young producer. Without a filler in sight, each track is destined for endless repeat plays, keeping audiences hungrily poised for the arrival of the next instalment in the series.

Bit different from his ordinary productions. This is more of a straight forward house track with grooving hats, great sampling and a very dj-friendly arrangement. Basically a really dope track!
Paxton Fettel is a rising star with his futuristic deephouse sound and is great on the key's. He joined the Elastic Artists agency and released on labels like Apersonal (inc Jimpster remix), Greta Cottage Workshop and Deso.

Following releases on Hafendisko and Mule Musiq, the New Zealand/German duo are set to release a four track EP on London-based label House of Disco. Given their relative newcomer status (the Snacks alias only began in 2014), this excellent EP is a clear statement of what great things are to come from the pair.

“Matinee” is prime terrace party fodder. A feel-good anthem that we’re sure will be on heavy rotation in the booth, and deservedly so!

The band began to play loudly in the grand hall. The chamber had been packed for several hours, diners had eaten promptly whilst discussing matters of ethereal importance. The white table cloths now lay scattered messily across the room as the old busy bodies danced repulsively. The band were playing a song for Mr. Lewis, not that many of them knew him very well at all. This was merely a facade, a show of force for a leader whom was actually despised. There was only so much grandeur one could attempt to hide amidst, he was a mess. 

Austin Ato is set to release a new EP on Phonica White in the coming weeks, the producer has travelled under many guises in the past including Drums Of Death, Frankie Dreams and The Slumberjack.
