PS, In the original recording, after I had mixed in the last track and before it had finished playing, the DJ who went on next started loading the wrong CDJ, and stopped the music (not my fault). So I stitched the last track back together in sound forge, there may be a slight volume change, but it should be barely noticeable.

Khromata is a passionate DJ who seeks to spread the cutting edge sound of the psychedelic underground. She has adroitly crafted her signature fun, funky and unique style, that has been embraced by dancers on dancefloors far and wide.

Khromata exudes a genuine, passionate energy from behind the decks that is reciprocated by the dance floor. With a blend of refined technical skills, unique creativity, and a learned understanding of how to take dancers on a meaningful journey during her sets, she has been embraced globally through her performances and online mixes and radio appearances. Different scenes with different audiences seek her out because of her versatility, while always staying true to her signature sound. She'll play anything from drum and bass to psydub, but is mostly known for her psybreaks and psychedelic trance sets.

Khromata began DJing 2010, finally following through with what had been a 13 year fascination with DJing. From Ambient to Zydeco and everything in between, she finds inspiration in the diversity and beauty of music, and DJing was a natural progression of expression for her musical passion, a continuation of what she has always done and what she loves to do--share good music.

Khromata's interest in music and the dance music scene goes beyond from behind the decks and into academics. With a focus on Sociology and Anthropology in her education, she is deeply interested in the cultural implications of dance music. She wrote her senior college thesis on transnational psychedelic trance culture and spirituality to understand her passions on a deeper level.

In the four years that she has been DJing, she has gained the respect from her peers for what she's accomplished by staying true to her sound and the music she loves. In this time she has played multiple undergrounds, renegades, warehouses, festivals, clubs and raves in and out of state, and she has played numerous opening and closing sets for legendary international headliners. 

Khromata has been sought after by world renowned crews and labels. Currently, Khromata is a resident DJ for Pulse SF, one of the premier psychedelic trance event production crews in the United States; a label DJ for Digital Om Productions, a label based out of India with consistent high quality and chart topping releases, and Rune Recordings a top breaks label based out of Ukraine.

Rule Of Rune 044 With The Guest Host Khromata (12.11.2014)

Hello and welcome to the third in the Apson mix series, Apson Psydub III. It is airing on DI.fm Psychill channel for the Winter Solstice celebration. 

The name of this mix series is inspired by the Apsara, or in Thai อัปสร (Apson), the beautiful dancing supernatural female beings of the clouds found in Hindu and Buddhist mythology. When I made this mix I could envision these Apsons dancing sensually through dubby fractal space goddess palaces floating in the sky....so sit back, relax and enjoy :)

Solo has made quite a name for himself in dance music circles with epic DJ sets and releases on esteemed house music labels like Dirtybird, Sound Pellegrino, Deadfish and most recently Kling Klong with the single 'Cringe'. He's also remixed huge names like Underworld and Depeche Mode. The former Fabric resident has recently started a new label, specialising in deep, percussive funk-fuelled house music. An old deep progressive/psygressive/minimal psy dj mix of mine that I recently found in amongst a pile of old cdrs. Listening to it again after so many years was quite the 'trip' down memory lane so I thought I'd upload it unedited for anyone else interested in a 'flashback' ;) 

Recorded in 2003 using 2 x Technics 1200 turntables, 1 x Gemini mixer, 1 x mini disc recorder. Complete with all the crackles, pops and hiss that give vinyl it's distinct rich sound. No editing, no post production, old School as fuck!

Looking through my old DAT's, I found this forgotten gem… This was made in Januray 1999. It's a remix of Atmos' classic Klein Aber Doctor done by myself and George Barker, released as Slinky Wizard vs. Green Nuns Remix….BUT this version was done after we had put down our final mix…. Simon popped round for a cuppa and did a live mix on the mixing desk. In the "olden days" before making everything inside a computer people would make their sequenced mix then put everything on a loop and make a live mix on the analogue mixing desk twisting the FX and EQ's, playing the desk like an instrument……this was a trick learnt from the days of Youth's Butterfly Studios….. Simon P., Ott and Greg Hunter were masters of this.Then you could edit it down into a few minutes. So this is Simon's live mix of our remix….its about 19 minutes long and very psychedelic! Enjoy!

Psynthetic has been a DJ and promoter since 1999 in San Francisco, California. He founded the g.o.a.Play collective that same year which was responsible for producing the legendary Eclipse Massive in 1999, the infamous Taco Portal weekly in SF, the Gratitude Festival in 2003 and was part of the original crew responsible for creating the Symbiosis Gathering. Paul has more than ample experience and passion for throwing down a monstrous set or producing a ridiculously epic party and his musical journeys have allowed him to share the stage with some of the biggest and best producers in the world. Joining forces in late 2010 to create Pulse SF with Boston's own Infinite Sun and former g.o.a.Play resident Tobal. The Pulse collective has established a reputation for creating masterfully produced multi genre events like the Pulse Family Gathering and the How Weird Street Faire. Having recently moved to Tampa, Florida and now firmly in his third decade as a DJ and promoter, Paul is poised to show his dance floor blasting talents to an ever growing national audience!
