Cancel's career spans about two decades in the Techno and Hardcore scene, which made it time to reflect on past, present and future. PACT was so kind to cooperate in this event.

So, when Cancel invited me to open the night, I just was blown away. PACT is beyond any doubt my favorite party I've ever been to (at Elementenstraat, legendary stuff indeed) and Cancel's productions have been in my record case for as long as I can remember. And to top it off, the evnt would take place in one of my absolute favorite venues on the planet: Now&Wow (can I say Factory010) in Rotterdam.

Record label ygam founder - Ōtone are known for their investigation of abstract industrial soundscapes that take form in experimental, techno and rhythmical ‘musique concrète’ compositions. The Berlin-based artist also share their love for the dance floor and its inhabitants through DJ sets filled with shifting patterns of tension and high energy. This recording is an excerpt of their closing set for New Brvtalism at Ohm last May.

Ismcast Presents: Blasha & Allatt (Meat Free/Blue Hour)

We are kicking of the year with a podcast by the Manchester based duo Blasha & Allatt. They are co-founders and residents at Manchester’s infamous Meat Free, one of Manchester’s leading techno nights. During 2019 they powered through the club and festival circuit with notable appearances at London’s Printworks, Dimensions Festival, and of course their spiritual home The White Hotel. Their latest release is a remix of Blue Hour’s track ‘Mirimar’ which came out as part of a remix package alongside fellow heavy hitters Hector Oaks, D.Dan & Vladimir Dubyshkin. Their vinyl sets bring together a mixture of current beats and old school rhythms that provide plenty of energy for the dancefloor!

We are proud to present to you a relentless mix from none other than Mekanikal Bloodshed's co-founder, Ma Čka. Since the Parisian made her Ismus debut back in summer 2019, for our event with the infamous London crew Jaded, we have wondered when we will see her again and the time is now. 

She has delivered just under an hour of full power techno with heavy industrial themes running throughout. If you haven't had a chance to check her or Mekanikal Bloodshed then we highly recommend that you do so, expect a much tougher sound.

Psytox (aka Norman Bates, MDNT:SON, Didier Beydts, Svemirski, PSTX) has been dj'ing since 1989. Rather than being pigeonholed into one style of music, he mixes very eclectic sets, including elements of acid, house, techno, deephouse, minimal, breakz, d'n'b,... . It has brought him to a wide variety of venues in different scenes.
Together with Edward Molton he also founded his own imprints Coincidence and Coincidental Records, who have been releasing Techno from artists like Jeroen Search, 6SISS, Esther Duijn, Ruffneck Prime, Rebekah, Marcel Fengler, Developer, Delta Funktionen, Charlotte de Witte, Conforce, Mary Velo, Tom Hades, Layr and many more. He also produces and releases on Rhythm Converted and Be As One. He also promotes his own nights at Kompass Klub, Café d'Anvers and Tomorrowland's infamous "Rave Cave". So hard working is definitely a suitable description.

He has been known to play extensive sets (up to 15 hours straight) at established events such as Tomorrowland, Kozzmozz, Thé Dansant, Wanted Berlin, Extrema Outdoor, Lost Theory Festival,… and venues such as Kompass Klub, Now & Wow, Other Side, Zodiak, Tresor, Cafe d'Anvers, Fuse, Chalet, Charlatan, Decadance and Silo to name just a few.
