Matsuri Digital is pleased to announce a debut solo EP by an artist featured collaboratively on our label before TAO with his brilliant two-track Space Era EP. 
　
This great artist is one half of the Japanese duo TAO &amp; NAGA, who we heard in their great single Higo to Goa and then with their explosive track Spirit Bomb on DJ Solitare's compilation Beyond Expectation. Now he returns with two solo tracks of equal power but very different styles.
　
The title track Space Era features appropriately otherworldly sounds with evocative melodic and harmonic languages, and it has a driving uplifting character. Take No Ne, on the other hand, is a slower, darker, groovier number with tribal voices and rhythmic elements fused with mystical sounds and a deep atmosphere. Both are amazingly powerful, spanning the range of the best psychedelic dance music that was at the root of this scene in the 90s.

The origin of this music is strong dancefloor oriented 120-145 bpm psy-trance with developing uplifting tunes and stylish progressive tones. It is а unique and special work from best Russian Trance scene resident. His music is rich, full of complex feelings and colors - true delight for an experienced listener and a total blast on the dancefloor. This new album appears to be more experimental than other ones as it consists of tribal elements, live rock guitar parts, vocals, inventive percussions and sonic manipulations. It’s a twisted jungle gym of naive sound design and arrangement, melodrama, cynical humor, and nostalgic tenderness. From demonic cartoon samples to near-death hallucinations, warped love, dead pet elegies, and the fight against existential boredom, each track retraces a moment of personal myth. Some naive, some painful, others deeply cynical, but all woven with a sense of playful disobedience.

It’s chaotic, melodic, and sometimes just ridiculous. The sound of an inner child throwing paint at the void and laughing when it stares back.🫣

I make and play music inspired by the environments where I have lived, and crafted for the parties that I have played at around the world. Growing up in Northern California placed me amongst incredibly diverse music scenes. My music is formed from all of my music tastes and is created for fun dance floor moments. I've played at events big and small throughout North America, Mexico, Japan, and Europe with many psy artist from around the world. Performing live and Dj sets at events such as Boom Festival 08', Burning Man, the Ultra Music Festival, SF Love Fest, and countless more indoor and outdoor parties and festivals.
