I’m Ian Storm, founder of STORM Music Group — but my journey started long before the first beat dropped.

I came from the light to bring light. As a child, I felt different. While other kids played games I didn’t understand, I was building, creating, and dreaming. I spent hours in my own world.

Every morning, I’d press play on Music Was My First Love by John Miles. That song didn’t just inspire me it programmed me. 

The 90s changed everything. I was born in Belgium, my grandma was dutch. It was in Belgium where the foundations of trance were first laid in dark clubs and smoky warehouses,
where pulsing basslines echoed off concrete walls
and a new sound was born.

A sound that wasn’t just heard but felt.

It was there, in the heart of Europe,
that emotion found rhythm,
and energy found form.
The birthplace of trance was not a trend —
it was a frequency.

And it called to me. Dream dance and trance swept me away. The energy, the way it could lift your soul, sync thousands of strangers, and open emotional doors you didn’t know existed I felt it deeply. And I knew: this is what I have to bring to the world.

But as with many that try to follow their hart, my sensitive part was not appreciated at that time. I was bullied from time to time and was told not to be myself. Even my greatest passion, music, was dismissed at home. My heart retreated into silence. Hiding my feelings my was my only escape at that time. 

I learned to survive defend myself and to create freedom and independency for myself. I became an engineer, I moved to Holland, built companies, I created financial freedom, not for wealth, but for the freedom to follow my true calling. Yet the mask I wore to survive the hard, defensive version of me, stayed on for years. Only by meeting the right people, those who saw and amplified my light, did I learn to drop the mask, set boundaries, and live in my real frequency.

All that resistance? It made me stronger. Because you can’t bring light without learning to protect it and how to structure things in the material world. 

And so, I built STORM combining everything I learned as a Dutch entrepreneur with the emotional depth and nostalgic energy I felt in the early Belgian trance scene. The vision was clear: to create a label that merges structure with soul, and builds something lasting from pure feeling and energy.

STORM just as a label, but as an energy.

Because for me, success was never the point.
The point was, and always will be: energy.

That’s my gift knowing when a track carries true feeling, and when it doesn’t.
Some call me a trance guy. But here’s the truth:
I’m a feeling guy.

I believe that emotional, soul-shifting energy doesn’t belong to one genre. It can live in trance, house, tech house, melodic techno, breaks anything. People are too eager to put things into boxes. What matters is intention, timing, and frequency.

That’s why I built STORM Music to be a home for that energy, no matter its form.
All STORM sub-labels have one thing in common:
The right track, at the right time, that hits the soul just right.

When music hits the right frequency at the right moment something inside you shifts.
You let go.
You rise up.
You escape.

Escape Reality Back to Infinity.

Because of everything I’ve lived through, the resistance, the loneliness, the fight for freedom, I now want to show others what’s possible. I want to teach people to believe in their own potential. To never accept limits set by others. To never believe the lie that “it can’t be done.” We are creators, we can all bring the light to humanity trought the power and energy of music. 

I was inspired by people who broke boundaries and redefined what was possible: Madonna, David Guetta, Richard Branson and the countless creators who shaped the soundtrack of my life. They showed me that you don’t have to fit in to lead. That creation is the ultimate rebellion. And now, through STORM, I aim to pass that energy on.

ILL PHIL aka Phil Dolman has been DJ'ing for almost 18 years now, having played all over the world Phil is no stranger to the business. He has been part of a few other projects prior to this, he worked with the super producer Will Bailey AKA Lowsteppa for 3 years. Together they gave you 'Bass Weazal' & 'Punk Rolla' These projects saw Phil tour the States, and see most of Europe and even go as far as South Korea.

Radio 1 and Capital FM, KISS FM & many more have supported a lot of his productions, and continue to do so.

Phil also hosted a show called ‘The Certified Jackin Takeover’ on Grant Nelson’s the D3ep Fm network. This was a monthly show that goes out all over the world, and reaches a vast amount of listeners.

Recently Phil has decided to stay his hand at the more bassy sounding music currently known as 'House & Bass'  or  'Jackin House'  With over 100 solid tunes to his name, he is a driving force in the UK scene playing all over the country every week.

In early 2013 Phil joined the prestigious 'Certified Jackin' brand. He now does 6 mixtapes a year which achieve huge listenership's, exceeding well into the 100's of thousands of views & downloads. He also runs parties at the famous ‘Lightbox’ Club in London with ‘Certified Jackin’ which have been a huge success. 

2018 was a crazy year for Phil, seeing him play all over the country and over seas. Phil took the stage at many clubs &festivals.  2019 is set to be his biggest yet, with planned tours in Canada & Germany already, plus some other exciting things in the pipeline. Along with a very busy UK schedule, it’s going to be an amazing year for him. There will also be the release of 5 new exclusive track to mark his final year producing!

Phil is getting great support from the crowds and gaining a keen following from the scenes main heads, so if you go to one of his shows… expect a high energy set, packed full of exclusive tracks!

It's a bright future for the young DJ with plenty of new tunes in the pipeline and some great shows lined up.

Certified Jackin was formed in 2011 with the intention of taking the big-bass “jackin house” sound that was taking over the North of England and the Midlands and deliver to a wider audience. This was achieved via a simple YouTube channel which quickly, and slightly unexpectedly, became a massive success, harnessing close to 100,000 subscribers and over 25 million views. The sound we delivered was greatly received throughout the United Kingdom and across the globe.
 
Over the following years, we helped promote and intensify the early careers of well-respected artists who featured heavily under the CJ name. Artists such as Hannah Wants, Chris Lorenzo and of course, our head honcho: ILL PHIL, amongst many others. Their meteoric rise through the music scene has, along with other artists and DJs brought underground House music to the forefront of the dance music world, specifically the ‘Jackin’, ‘Bass’ and ‘Tech House’ genres.
 
We host events across the United Kingdom, mainly at the prestigious Lightbox in London where we have hosted some of the best in the business: Endor, The Wideboys, Tom Bull, Rich Pinder, Skapes, Martin Ikin and others. We have taken Certified to Dublin with Tom Zanetti, Tom Garnett and Nick Hannam. We’ve also graced Tank in Sheffield, Insomnifest in Leeds, Manchester, Rotherham, Maidstone and Dover.
 
ILL PHIL’s world-famous Mixtapes have amassed millions of plays on SoundCloud and our debut album ‘Certified Jackin: Underground House Music’ cracked the Top 10 of the iTunes dance chart in mid-2014.
 
Our sound has naturally changed over time, but our values remain the same. We aim to deliver high energy, feel good, bass-laden house music with a twist. Full frontal, underground beats.

Lukas aka Luk, discovered his love for electronical music back in 1997, when his older, DJ, brother handed him down his DJ-equipment and taught him to spin LPs. At the start Luk was obsessed with Trance, Techno, Acid and Progressive, but then his deep passion for LPs grew more and more and the whole system was relocated from the family living room to a studio.

Luk was allowed able to show off what his brother had taught him and his self taught skills with Electro- and Housebeats in some favourite Clubs in Switzerland. His cheerful presence behind the mixer causes the crowd to be enthusiastic and attentive. Since the beginning of 2006 Luk was able to add several famous locations in his reference list. Clubs like “Loft”, “Säulenhalle”, “Pravda”, “Prestige”, “Eleven”, “De Club”, “Moods”, “Nordstern Lifestyle”, “Fonda” and many others just to mention a few. His next goal is to move into production and start getting his own tracks together.
