With over 16 years of experience uplifting the tribe in Bali, Raio is not only a musician and DJ but a father, eco-community steward, and an operator of his mystic jungle studio. With Ecstatic Dance finding one of its early homes in Bali and Raio being one of the main anchors in this community, this release is rooted in a potent tradition of dancing in nature with tribes from all around the world. Our ‘Sonorities’ travel slow, but they travel far. Organic and joyful sounds reminding of Latin America and of their native people are flanked on the one side by instruments and motives coming from the East, on the other side there are urban trippy rhythms. Ecstatic dancing beats travel alongside ethereal and mesmerizing melodies. Such diversity is not only meant to present the variety of sounds which these great artists can exhibit, but also to represent the diversities among human beings which are here united in one heterogeneous and harmonious complex, as it’s the world we envision - a whole symbiotical organism...

For Sarah Kerr

DJ Resister (Selen) is a Turkish-born, Canada-based DJ who blends organic house, ethnic rhythms, and deep electronic sounds. Her journey started in 1999, in a home she shared with her aunt, where a set of CD decks and a mixer sparked her path into DJing.

In the early years, she played low-pressure gigs and private parties, often leaning toward slower house music. Over time, her sound evolved to reflect her roots and global influences, drawing heavily from the rich musical traditions of Anatolia and beyond.

Today, DJ Resister’s sets explore a mix of organic, melodic, and progressive sounds layered with percussion and textures from around the world. Her style is intentional and grounded, focused on building connection through rhythm and creating spaces where people can move, feel, and reconnect.
