With a career in creative fields spanning over more than 20 years, started as an architect and interior designer, Paul Seling decided at some point it was time to go back to his first love, electronic music. Based on an initial education in classical piano and saxophone he followed his fascination for modern music production, gradually building his own recording studio and releasing year after year on his own label, Sprya Records.

The "Paul Seling" name is the main one ( as he is releasing at this time under several aliases and approaching a variety of genres ) focusing on genres like chillout, downtempo, chillwave or even synthpop. In the last years he started to integrate more and more a retro, 80`s infused sound, with vocal synthwave / retrowave influences.

The "Paul Seling" project is a colorful listening experience, drawing inspiration from all the artist`s musical history : from childhood memories of growing up listening to funk, soul or disco, to the last years listening to the most obscure indie bands. It draws on complex, rich harmonies, funky beats and some serious songwriting skills.

As we progress into the future you can expect new directions to be explored by Paul`s inquisitive creative mind, as no release is similar to another. We invite you to join him into this creative journey and, well, have some "Serious fun" in the meantime !...

DJ R.I.P. started Dj’íng at the the age of 14. At a party on his secondary school. The Glopper in Capelle a/d Ijssel. That was in the mid eighties. At that time he played the music from the Dutch Top 40. After that he played several times at his secondary schools, Elout MAVO and City College in Rotterdam.
In 1987/1988 he started to play hip hop and rap and did a lot of scratching, mostly in his own basement.
In 1990 DJ R.I.P. visited his first real (hip) house party, Orange Houseparty near Maritime Museum in Rotterdam. He thought that is it “House”.
In 1990 he organised his first own houseparty in Doelari, and it was one of the first in Rotterdam. Where he played also. In that same year he moved with his houseparty’s to Gouda Garenspinnerij. There he played the old techno. The second party overthere became more hardcore minded. He booked Holy Noise. That was a good move. There came over 1.000 people at that rave. The third party there was with The Euromasters, also well known in the hardcore scene.
After more then a year of party’s in Gouda he moved back to Rotterdam, The Hardcore Capital of the World. There he started his party’s in The Wild Side. He was the first in Rotterdam with afterparty’s mostly afterparty’s from the Energiehal.
After a while there came less people to the afterparty, so he quit with that. But he stayed in the Wild Side where he became resident DJ. But he did have to make a radical move in style again. He learned that very fast. At that time Dj R.I.P. started to play more mellow (garage etc.) and what you call now house classics, what was mostly played in Parkzicht.
In the mean time he started to become more professional in sound and light rentals and drive-in shows. Where he played more top 40, rock etc. With his drive-in show he came at almost all student society’s of Rotterdam. He played also at the Ikea in Delft and a lot of other businesses. To much name here.
In 2009 DJ R.I.P. started to organise party’s again. The first one was in august where he had his own stage, The Rotterdam Stage on the camping of Nature One., where he played different styles of housemusic: housclassics, oldschool, hardcore, techno, hardtechno, trance, eclectic and electro. And in October his Birthday Bash where he played more houseclassics and oldschool.
2010 was a good year for him he played in big clubs like Thalia Rotterdam and in Lexion Westzaan.

There is a legend about a warrior panda whose origins can be traced back all the way to a time when the art of mixing was still in its infancy. Some say he is a direct descendant of the founding fathers of techno. Others say he lived in a cave for years, practicing his transitions tirelessly, while many believe he acquired his flawless mixing powers through some obscure black magic ritual. However it may be, history books show that he first rose to prominence in the vinyl era, taking up a residency in the legendary Outline after club. 

He survived that tumultuous era almost unscathed as the world plunged into a new era and a new millennium. While the Belgian rave scene witnessed the demise of some of its most iconic institutions, legends and rave temples, Tie Kez lay quiet, devoting his energy to family life. When the techno scene transformed and re-emerged stronger than ever, so did the legendary warrior panda. He didn't dwell on past achievements and quickly adapted to new techniques and possibilities and came back with a purpose. 

Colleagues today hail his mastery of mixing arts as second to none; his productions as being crisp and packing a serious punch. This recently landed him assignments on labels such as MTZ Noir, Ithica Records, Subwoofer Records, Underground Records, Strohm Records and Soulflex Records while serving as a beacon of experience for the Nobody Listens To Techno collective. 

As one of the hardest working pandas in techno, Tie Kez, always comes prepared. His plan of attack, when conquering yet another dance floor, usually includes a steady flow of beats and an endless stream of neatly interwoven industrial and dark techno tracks. For Tie Kez, techno is about creating stories, creating moments, community and above all: about making your legs move as if you were possessed by a demon. Rarely will you encounter a more modest legend.
