Vol. 2, Matteo — founder and artistic director of the label — continues the curatorial work begun in 2023: “to capture a living and moving ecosystem,” at the intersection of local, diasporic, and international club scenes. This new compilation brings together a selection of emerging and established artists from Europe, Africa, and the diasporas, offering a sonic landscape that’s percussive, hybrid, and emotional. Artem, DJ Travella, Blck Mamba, Dariiofox, Lorkestra, Marge, and Hey Bony all showcase unique perspectives on contemporary club music — balancing raw intensity with rhythmic nuance.

Designed as much for DJ sets as for deeper listening, the compilation reflects Applause’s DNA: a curatorial and inclusive space, connecting underground communities, global aesthetics, and multifaceted identities. Among the standout moments, Leyka’s Beli—DJ and producer affiliated with Drama and Nuit Brune collectives—embodies that sense of freedom. Led by a baile funk- inspired vocal, the track fuses Bass Music, Jersey Club, and raw rhythms into a spontaneous, high-energy blend built for unrestrained movement on the dancefloor.

DJ Rtje is an artist known for his energetic and catchy music, blending genres like BUBBLING, RAVE, TECHNO, and DEMBOW. With his unique style and infectious beats ranging from 130 to 160 BPM, his tracks are perfect for mixing.

DJ Rtje began his music production journey in 2003 at the age of 13. He was introduced to FL Studio by the uncle of a close Antillean friend, and soon after, he began creating his own tracks. Drawing inspiration from DJs such as ᴅᴊ ᴄʜᴜᴄᴋɪᴇ, ɴᴀꜰꜰɪᴇ, and ᴅᴊ ꜱᴏᴜɴᴅᴋɪʟʟᴇʀ, DJ Rtje developed his own distinctive style within the Bubbling genre.

From 2003 to 2006, Rtje gained attention with tracks like "Sound of Seduction" and "Tetris Bubbling", which spread rapidly through platforms like PP2G and were shared via Bluetooth. The Bubbling tracks he produced during this period combined electronic elements with traditional Bubbling, creating a unique sound that remains relevant today.
During these years, DJ Rtje also performed at numerous house parties in his hometown of Zoetermeer and the surrounding areas, further building his reputation.

After a brief hiatus from music, DJ Rtje returned to the Bubbling scene with a bang, collaborating with artists such as De Schuurman and releasing his debut album Bubbling Nation. Through these efforts, he has firmly established his place in the world of Bubbling music.
